Was excited to try this place out after seeing a video about it from a local youtuber. It was just ok. The building is small, and there's a lot of games packed into it, and I'm a bit claustrophobic so I didn't love it. When you walk in the front door you're in a hallway with games on the sides of you, and it felt narrow. The games I wanted to play were right in the front where the entrance door is, and people had to walk around me to get in and out. At the time I was there, there were only about 4 customers in the building and to me even that small amount of simultaneous patrons made it feet like it was cramped. Some of the games have stools but they're all pushed aside to make any room to walk anyplace. I also looked at the ice cream menu on the ice cream side of the business, and the employee didn't even look up from their phone to say hello or ask if I wanted something. I decided not to order anything. It's certainly a unique spot, and I want modern arcades to exist, but it's a little too cramped for me so I probably won't make the trip back. Best of luck with it, I'm sure young kids feel right at home here since they're littler than me, and that's most likely the target...
Read moreHigh Score Ice Cream & Arcade is an absolute gem tucked away at 5020 Rochester Road in Troy, Michigan. From the moment you walk in, you're hit with a wave of nostalgia—classic arcade games line the walls, neon lights give the space a fun retro vibe, and the upbeat energy makes it perfect for kids and adults alike.
The ice cream is the real star here. They offer a wide variety of flavors, including some unique and seasonal options that rotate regularly. The scoops are generous, creamy, and full of flavor.
As for the arcade, it's super well-maintained. There’s a great mix of old-school favorites like Pac-Man and Galaga, as well as some newer multiplayer games. Most machines are in great condition, and it is straightforward and affordable.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and seem genuinely excited about both the ice cream and the arcade experience. It's a great spot for a family outing, a fun date, or just a solo nostalgia trip.

Read moreWas just driving by because my 15yr old daughter, her bestie and I were in the area. As soon as I saw arcade and ice cream it took me back to the 80's and 90's so, I had to turn around to see what is was all about.. SO GLAD I DID!!!! The arcade has so many of the good 80's and 90's arcade games. Frogger, Donkey Kong, NBA Jams, Ms Pac-Man and so many others. We all enjoyed our snacks. My daughter had a cookies n cream shake made with hand dipped icecream, her beastie and I had pretzels, mine no salt and hers extra salty. There is a burger food truck in the parking lot, and you can eat it in the Cafe area in the arcade. Did I mention(I know I didn't!!) that they take quarters(some only take .50 cents per play). They had a big screen TV playing Harry potter in the café. I will be going back.. Gonna def have a date night with the hubby there.. we were there 1½ hours and I only spent $22(that included the snacks and game play for...
