Maggiano’s has a strange thing about their menu when you order dine in. I asked if they were going to serve us soup or salad? Our Black female waitstaff said No, uh uh. I said They don’t? When did they decide to do that? How long have they been doing that? She said Oh they’ve always done that. Everything you order is A la carte. I thought that’s weird. Why would they do that? Then she said to me, Nothing on the menu comes with a soup and salad. If you want a salad you would need to order it separately. I saw how much a salad costs and decided against paying anything extra for a salad. So for my birthday dinner which wasn’t even what’s considered dinner when we only ate Chicken Alfredo. It was Incredible! The most delicious Chicken Alfredo we’ve ever had. I could taste the creaminess in the Alfredo sauce, so delicious, yummy, pungent garlic, and a bit of lemon. The gluten free pasta we both substituted tasted delicious too. They shouldn’t of added coarsely ground salt sprinkled on top of the Chicken Alfredo. I was so thirsty later that night and the thirst continued for entire next day and I drank more water than usual and still felt like I couldn’t get enough hydration. It was my husband’s and my first time dining here. When we eat here next time because we have $55 left on the gift card we’re going to have to tell them to not sprinkle any coarse salt on top of the Chicken Alfredo. It has more than enough salt already. It was my birthday October 23 when we ate here. The Black female waitstaff was not very good at interacting with me and didn’t have good interpersonal communication skills. She would stop talking and wouldn’t finish the sentence and would pause and stare at me? And seemed like she didn’t want to answer my questions, inquiries about the food on the menu. Twice she walked away without saying anything to me or my husband? It made it awkward and uncomfortable. I asked if they do anything for someone’s birthday? She said they have lemon cookies and was snarky and told me But you can’t have it when you don’t have gluten! That was rude, and she made me feel excluded. Later an older woman, a white woman with a headset on came over to talk to me? She looked like she was a manager. She asked if we liked the meal? I said it was delicious. And asked us if I wanted any dessert? She suggested a dessert they make that is like a baked apple with spices and that I’d probably like to try it. I said that I don’t have any gluten. She said she doesn’t think it has gluten, but she would check to make sure. She came back and said sorry it does have gluten in it and that I wouldn’t be able to have that. She said that they have Flan. I said I love Flan! I ordered it and was disappointed that it was not how Flan should taste. It was thinner and not thick enough like a custard. The sugar topping was very crunchy and it has too much sugar. I didn’t care for that. We saw our waitstaff that took our pasta order to I told her that there was too much sugar on the Flan. She belittled me and said to me Who ever complains that something had too much sugar!? I said quietly I do. I asked the woman with the headset on about her about how was the Flan made? She said that it is lighter. It’s more airy. I said Can you repeat that? She said that the way they make it is by putting more air into the Flan. I said that it didn’t taste thick like a custard like a Flan I’ve had before. I tasted the cream, and some lemon too. It was light. The sugar topping was crunchy and it was too much sugar. She looked worried and asked me if it was okay and did I like it? I said yes it was delicious. She was relieved and smiled and looked down then walked away. My husband ordered a $6 Chicken Alfredo to take home. It cost $23.99 each for two Chicken Alfredo. The Flan was $10.50. It cost $ 69 + 15% tip $8.51, the total was $72.99. That’s...

Me and my wife have dined at a number of Italian restaurants across southeast Michigan, and out of every one that we've gone to, This was, by and far our favorite. My only regret is not having heard of it before, or trying it sooner.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed, and the interior was gorgeous. Even the waiting area and bar was in a word, superb. We didn't wait long, since we made a reservation before arriving.
Our server was Aliyah, and she did everything she could to ensure it was a smooth evening -- constantly topped up our drinks, checked up on us, and was friendly and cheerful on top of all that. If you or your management reads these reviews, she was absolutely awesome!
We had the Italian cheese bread for an appetizer, and if any of you have misgivings because you know ricotta has a somewhat gritty texture, don't be concerned at all. It was melted to a creamy consistency on top of toasted bread. On top of that, the complimentary bread and oil was warm and delicious. The complimentary bread was an entirely different type of bread from the cheese bread -- I think it might have been sourdough? It was awesome no matter how you slice it.
I also ordered the frozen peach bellini, highly recommend it. My wife was just happy that they offered coke products :)
For the main course, I had the lobster carbonara, and my wife had the beef tenderloin medallions. I also tried a cup of the minestrone.
So, the minestrone was absolutely perfect. Had just the right about of salt, warmth and spice, with well rendered-down soft vegetables in a very flavorful vegetable broth. I didn't want nor need to change anything about it.
The lobster carbonara features sugar snap peas, and a wonderful bacon along with a garlic cream sauce. This meal was just the highlight of my night. Nothing I have had at any other Italian restaurant in southeast Michigan compared.
My wife had nothing but high praise for the beef medallions. Some of you might be turned off by the sauce base using balsamic vinegar, but I promise you, you'd never know. The taste was top-notch. It had the taste of a cream sauce with mushroom and beef stock and complemented the medallions, mashed potatoes, and onion straws perfectly.
Me and my wife went out at the spur of the moment to celebrate a small career success. We told our waitress and we got the most delicious cookies, I think she called them vera's recipe? and they were a very lightly glazed lemon shortbread cookie. They were not overwhelmingly sweet, and they had just the right amount of give. Highly recommend those cookies if they're a standard dessert item you can order.
She had next to no reason to give us those cookies, but it make a wonderful experience just that much better.
The long and short of this review is that I very enthusiastically recommend this establishment, and if you leave hungry, you have nobody to blame but...

The quality of service and food has fallen over the years.
We recently had lunch at Maggiano's and right from the beginning it was evident this establishment is no longer "fine dining".
The table and booth was filthy, dust bunnies all over the tops of the booth, the glasses and silverware were also disgusting. If this is what they're willing to present to the public I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like.
The waitress took forever to offer us a drink option. It was annoying because the three tables directly around us were being served while we're walked past and ignored.
We finally were waited on and decided to order with drinks to avoid any more delays.
While we waited for our appetizer we requested butter for the bread. As you'll see in the photo the butter was out of plastic container that you'd find at a McDonald's for pancakes. Such a fine culinary touch.
Our appetizer of stuffed mushrooms arrived like warm and very watery. I got the sense these were not hand made today but likely recently thawed and microwaved from the freezer.
The entrees arrived in a reasonable time. The lobster carbonara was good and had reasonable amount of lobster. The missus enjoyed it. My filet was cooked to the requested temperature and was also tasty. At nearly $40 each entree you would expect a side salad or soup option but, no, this restaurant requires you to pay extra for it. (Perhaps they're saving for a cleaning crew).
We finished our meals and waited some time before our waitress returned to offer us a take out. We considered a dessert option but having waited as long as we did we just asked for the bill to get out of the disappointing situation.
While the entrees were decent-ish the price point of this restaurant fails horribly in all other aspects. Poor service, terrible cleanliness and overall a regrettable experience.
We definitely will not be back and I'd caution anyone who looking for options in the area to look elsewhere. Your money will better serve you at any of the several...
