We had a good experience with Joe the manager of the Troy store. Our difficulty is with the customer service and the delivery service. We purchased a top of the line memory foam bed. It was extremely expensive. We so looked forward to sleeping on this wonderful bed. We were supposed to receive the bed on September 1 we had read in some of the reviews that people love their bed they had problems however with the delivery service. It was stalled by three weeks. On September 1 , the day of our delivery we received a phone call saying that this bed would be delivered on the scheduled day in the timeframe that they had given to us .We thought we had avoided any kind of difficulty with the delivery . We were on vacation and we were racing back to make sure that we were home in the slot of time frame , three hours that they said they were going to deliver the bed. On our way back we got another phone call from the delivery service saying they had lost our shipment. Next available delivery date was September 23 three weeks after the initial date and we were supposed to. This was exactly the same problem that people encountered. This meant no bed for us for three more weeks. That was unacceptable. We canceled the entire order, including our sheets and mattress cover specific to this king size bed. Read moreThe woman who was working wasn't interested in helping us at all. I had done some research on the sleep number website before entering. I was hoping to get an explanation of the options for different bed types. When I asked the representative in the store to show us several types she only showed us one. Then she quoted us a different price than what was online. When I asked her why the prices were different she couldn't give me an answer and then wrote us off, as if we couldn't afford it. I was fully aware the beds are basically a la carte so you needed to pay for mattress, base, pump, delivery ect... My husband and I gave up because she wasn't helping us at all. We went to Art Van and spent our money on a much better bed from there. Just wish the woman that was helping us wasn't so disinterested. Oh did I mention it was raining and we were the only customers in the store for the entire 45 minutes we were there? Sad our experience...
Read moreEven though the people at the store are good, sleep number themselves has HORRIBLE customer service. I’ve had this bed for almost 2 months and it has not worked properly since day 1. My husband and I have talked to so many people, we’ve both been hung up on by customer service after being on hold for 30+ minutes, we have spend several hours of our precious time we could spend on our newborn instead trying to fix the bed. They’ve had 2 techs come out and every single person we’ve talked to has given us a different fake excuse. I am thoroughly disgusted and looking forward to call them to say I’m returning it.
