This is not my first bad experience at this McDonalds but definitely my worst. I really was not that upset my order was wrong.....it is pretty typical for this location. I asked for a Qtr Pounder Deluxe no cheese and no condiments. I pulled forward before checking my order and realized it was loaded with mustard and ketchup. I got back in the drive through line ( for some reason this McDonald’s still has not opened its inside dining, probably because they are not cleaning to COVID standards). I explained to the nice girl in the speaker box what had happened.... she told me to pull to the second window....I assumed they would have my correct burger waiting, there are several cars in front of me that also seem to have issues with their orders . I get to the window to only have to explain my order for the third time: I am told to keep the incorrect burger and pull forward and wait while they make my correct burger, after several minutes a “manager “ comes out and wants the incorrect burger I wait ( my fries are getting cold) the “manager “ comes back out again with a burger that has enough lettuce for 10 burgers. I look at the absurdly made burger and then I look at her.....my aggravations level is rising and I ask for new fries because the ones I have are cold. While I am waiting I throw the excess lettuce out the window.... there is so much lettuce it is getting all over me and my car. The “manager” comes back out and sees all the lettuce on the ground, obviously it is a lot because she tells me I am ridiculous and then I tell her she is ridiculous....we go back and forth for several RIDICULOUS moments. It was so much lettuce she said she was going to have to send someone to clean it up. After she walked off, I realized I did not trust the integrity of this manager or the food she was serving. I pulled into a parking place put my mask on , walked in, with the food....the “manager” was standing there, so I requested my money back. I also asked for her name which she responded that she didn’t have to give it to me and I could call and complain to anybody I wanted. The only way this place gets good reviews is through employee friends and family! Save yourself some serious aggravation and patronize any of the other fast food chains in the Troy area. I guess McDonald’s no longer has Franchise standards....otherwise it looks like Corporate would hold the Owners accountable who would in return hold their Managers ...
Read moreI wrote this review a year ago. See below. Today I ordered and picked up this morning and the same woman is handing out the food at the drive-through. She insists on handing the paper bag and hot coffee to the customer with one hand through the window. If you grab the coffee and bag too hard, to keep the bag from slipping, the coffee lid could pop off. If that happens, you'll end up with HOT coffee on your hand. Is she too LAZY to put her hand out the window twice for each customer? or is it that she thinks this adds to her efficiency and she's willing to do that at the discomfort of the customer?
Either way, it's poor customer service.
UNSAFE! At the drive through, they allow the employee to hand out HOT COFFEE in an UNSAFE MANNER. I frequently buy breakfast at this location before 7:00 AM because their service on that shift is VERY EFFICIENT and VERY FAST. It only takes a few minutes to pick up breakfast. BUT, they always hand me the coffee and bag with one hand. I am reluctant to squeeze a HOT (AND SOFT) cup of coffee hard enough with one hand to make sure the bag doesn't slip and fall to the ground, so I reach out through the window of my car with two hands to get the meal. If I reach out with one hand and squeeze the cup too hard, the coffee will spill and burn my hand. It's unsafe and awkward. This morning, when I asked the employee to PLEASE not do that, she said she was "supposed to" and that nobody "had a problem with it" implying that I was the only one that did. I buy a lot of take-out because I travel a lot. I have never seen anyone do this with hot coffee anywhere else. The last thing I want when I'm driving to work is to burn my hand...
Read moreIf I could leave a review with no stars I would! Ordered on the mobile app to pick up through drive thru. Went to pick order up and was pulled up which is fine. I have no problem waiting as long as my order is accurate and fresh. Get home and the cheese and bacon was left off of one sandwich and another sandwich was left out completely. This has happened on several occasions all occasions the store was operated by the same manager, Eric bland. I decided this time I’d take a trip back to the store in hopes they’d correct it instead of just eating it like I always do. The manager asked for proof of receipt which I obliged by showing him my receipt on my mobile app where I purchased it and he told me “that’s not proof anyone can pull that up on a phone” at this point I’ve lost my cool and I’m questioning him on how it’s not proof of purchase and how the sandwich I brought back that wasn’t fixed right isn’t proof?! He then threatened to call the cops. I just took my loss and called cooperate. The cost of the cheese and bacon are more than the actual sandwich and I was missing a whole sandwich! Mistakes happen that’s fine but I feel like I’ve been robbed. It is very clear the manager Eric Bland is incapable of leading his team. He is also incapable of correcting their mistakes and taking accountability. I will not be going back to McDonald’s. And I will be contacting a lawyer if my complaint is not handled accordingly. You can’t take someone’s money then refuse service to them when they ask you for the food they paid for and never...
