Troy's Buffet — Restaurant in Troy

not a 5 star due to condition of this food establishment. Starting with the walk to the front door, pavement dangers in parking lot, smell of dumpster in back parking lot is gross, front door is dirty, landing is damaged and slippery. Old, worn, dirty, poor repairs in general though out all bench seats are broken, Bathrooms reek, smells like an out house, stalls broken, toilet seats all twisted, no hot water at sink. Windows never been cleaned, and all window treatments are either broken, twisted and need replacement. Wondering what shape the kitchen is in? These Owners will not put any money into getting place in shape, literally nothing has been done to this place since it was built several decades ago, they just make due. Which makes it very hard for me to put that food into my mouth, regardless of how pretty it is. Husband loves the food, only reason I will go. Place needs to be shut down til, real maintenance done to make it a decent eating facility. Food inspectors should flag the place as unsafe. Many old people go there,...

The customer service is awful here. This is my first time coming to this place and it will be the last. The food is not great, it’s fair. However, for some reason they want the plate to be clean, after you put food on it, like it taste real good or something. The food lack flavor and some of it wasn’t even hot. The unprofessionalism is what gets me, My child got a second plate because he wanted some macaroni cheese, when he had made his first plate there was no macaroni cheese available. He came back with a second plate and the manager yelled at him, for getting it. Now I understand, they don’t want food to be wasted but that should have been handled a whole lot better. I have never experienced anything like that in my life. I’ve been to a lot of buffets and no one does this. I have seen people have 2 plates at the same time too. My party of four didn't know what to expect when we went in. The big sign said the restaurant was one thing while the sign on the building itself said another. We were really expecting a Golden Corral type buffet when we walked in, but were pleasantly surprised to see a Chinese buffet. The buffet was clean, and the food was really good. Nothing was over cooked as is typical for buffets. Some in my party went back for three plate fulls! The salad/fruit area was also fresh. The atmosphere did have a lot to be desired, as there were cardboard boxes seemingly everywhere and a place sectioned off that looked like it was hiding old booths. Great place to eat...
