The best place near Truckee / Tahoe for amazing brew, food, and service. The first IPA I tried was amazing and the food was excellent. The food is a mix between typical American plates, salads, wraps, and even Mexican fusion dishes and pizzas! There’s literally something for everyone here from healthy to very unhealthy! They have several beers on site from IPAs, lagers, sours, wine, and others. The beer was quite delicious after a day in the snow. I was really impressed with the flavor and that it wasn’t too hoppy. The food here is also excellent. We tried the shrimp tacos, a buffalo chicken wrap, a barbecue pork sandwich, and some pork tacos. Just excellent everything! The fries were really crispy which was a huge plus! There is a good amount of parking but it can be a challenge due to sharing the lot with a grocery store. Service was fast and there is a medium amount of seating indoors. There is also bar seating which you can use in a rush. Overall, highly recommended brewery for beer connoisseurs or people looking to enjoy food with the family with many options and have a beer for themselves

I would give a 5 stars, but there were a couple of things that were off (and 5 out of 5 means all was great). Yes it’s a bit pricey for a brew-pub. However COVID and inflation have changed prices everywhere. Waiter was good and food came out quickly. I had the burger and wife had the Stone salad with Salmon. Both were good (she really liked the salad). As for the couple of ā€˜dings’: 1) the 2 different beers I had were not great (Truckee IPA and Black Diamond IPA), I had high hopes given they make them; 2) the pint glasses have their cool logo on them so wife wanted to buy one…shocked at the $12 price for an empty glass, but alas my wife still wanted, so the guy grabs one out of the shelf where they get all glasses to use…and it was used. I didn’t think it would be an issue, but once in the car saw that it was scratched up. Too late, already heading out. But for a crazy $12 you would think it would be a new glass.

Truckee Brewing company is definitely worth visiting if you’re ever in the area. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the service is top-notch. The menu is diverse, and they offer something for everyone. The clam chowder was hearty and packed with flavor, while the chicken sandwich was juicy and tender. The wings were perfectly crispy, and the mozzarella sticks were cheesy and delicious. Don’t forget to try their beer! They have a great selection, and we enjoyed some of their signature brews. We also appreciate the fact that they cater to families and our furry friends. It’s always a plus when you can bring your pets along and still enjoy some great food and drinks. We had an incredible experience at Truckee Brewing company. We highly recommend it, and we’ll definitely be back soon. We had theeeee best server, EVER, she was amazing and had some extra cool tattoos 🄰

So many things to improve on...

Went to TBC because it had pasta on the website menu. When we got there the printed menu did not have pasta. To set the stage our group of 4 ordered 3 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 entrees, an iced tea, and 5 beers totalling about $176.

One member ordered the pilsner and he was served something that was so watery it was barely colored. Perhaps the server crossed it with the Hefeweizen that someone else ordered. In any case, the server was told it was undrinkable and asked to bring another beer. We were still charged for this strange beer.

The two salads, beet and caeser were fine as was the fry appetizer.

The sourdough pretzel appetizer didn't taste like sourdough, looked like it was fried instead of pretzel cooked, and had not a speck of salt on it. The queso cheese was very bland. Unfortunately the chicken nacho appetizers also had the bland queso cheese to my dismay. And the chicken was cut in cubed pieces and tasted like pressed meat. Not a $25 nacho in my opinion at all.

When the pepperoni pizza arrived the comment was 'it doesn't look homemade', i.e. frozen looking quality and sauce from a can.

Thus the 2 rating from us.

follow up: And you can see it took the owner 2 months to respond to our review. It doesn't matter where you get your supplies I still stand by my review. I can get a better pizza in the freezer section, the queso was tasteless, the pilsner barely had a taste, and the chicken was processed.

Does anyone see the mansplaining in owner's response? The pilsner was for my daughter's boyfriend from the midwest where...

Truckee Brewing Company Truckee, CA

Truckee Brewing Company offers an inviting, lively atmosphere with a delectable selection of local beers. I went for the Bud Factor X West Coast IPA—a wet-hop, heavy malted ale with Cascade and Sentinel hops, packing a bold 8.2% ABV. Rich, well-balanced, and bursting with flavor, it’s an IPA done right. My partner had the Crust Issues Knock Berry Sour, a pie-inspired sour ale with 5% ABV and notes of black raspberry and nectarine. Refreshing and fruity, it really hit the mark.

For starters, we went with the Grind and a round of brined chicken wings, dusted to perfection with sauces on the side. Their Thai chili sauce was delicious, but the blueberry BBQ sauce absolutely stole the show—I’d love to get my hands on that recipe! We also tried the American Wagyu burger with fries and a side salad. Each bite was on point.

But the true highlight? Tiana, our server. She was running a one-woman show in a packed family-style restaurant with a bar, handling every table solo. Her service was phenomenal—she knew the menu inside and out, kept the energy up, and managed the crowd with ease and expertise. Tiana’s smart, sharp, and exactly the type of server you want in a busy mountain town brewpub.

Truckee Brewing Company is a great spot for families and friends alike, offering a well-rounded menu with beers, pizzas, burgers, tacos, wraps—everything you need for a relaxed, satisfying meal. Highly...
