La Jalisciense — Restaurant in Truro Township

I had tacos and a quesadilla. The tacos were tiny but tasted good. They should have been bigger for the $3 price tag, even Taco Bell's are bigger and cheaper. The quesadilla didn't go all the way to the edge and lacked cheese. Well it had a little bit of cheese, but no where near enough. No guacamole, pico or salsa either! Their salsa was some type of brown green water that offered no flavor. When I returned to ask for tomato based salsa (yes I drove all the way back in the middle of my meal), and I was told they didn't have salsa. I then asked for pico and again... no pico! What kind of Mexican American restaurant does not have the #1 American condiment and hands someone green brown water when they ask for salsa? This place.

Not sure if I would return, but if I did I would ask for more cheese on the quesadilla and refuse to pay extra for what should be the norm. After all, this was a $10 quesadilla! I think they could manage at least a half cup of cheese. This had perhaps a quarter of a cup, maybe less. The cheese was extremely lacking without a doubt and without pico or salsa, I would probably pass...

I ordered through Uber Eats and it wasn't bad at all. The smaller tacos are more authentic Mexican as far as taste is concerned, so I'd order those again, if interested. The burrito is huge, but it lacks flavor. There was very little meat and lettuce, but tons of rice. More rice than necessary. I'd honestly choose a Chipotle burrito over there's. The bottle of coke I bought was over priced compared to buying it from Dollar tree, but that's no shocker. The menu is very small by the way. I don't know for sure if I'd order again, but I do think that they're worth trying out. I'm at 3 stars with them, but I added a 4th for service. Best...

The authentic Mexican food is not as good as it use to be. I ordered two supreme quesadillas and they were soggy. The meat to lettuce and tomato ratio was off and the quesadilla fell right apart, I was very disappointed. I did not bother to call and ask if my order could be replaced due to the “no exchanges and no refund” sign placed at the register when you go to pick up your food.
