O'Toole's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Truro Township

I have to give a huge shout out to bartender Mandi!! Not just for the great service, but for being so honest when she didn't have to be! Last evening my husband and I went to this bar for the first time, the day bar tender (also wonderful service and greeted with a big smile!) swiped our card to start a tab, my husband, being use to not swiping our card at our regular pub signed off on the receipt and paid cash - Mandi took the time to locate me on Facebook and send me a message to let me know that this happened and to hold our money at the office for us! This place seemed great, solid reviews for good food, it's an Irish bar, it's close to home, I was excited to try it. I showed up, family in tow, realized they didn't have tables to sit down and eat. That's fine, my mistake, stepped back outside and I hear the bartender shouting at my back in a super snippy/sarcastic tone "We're not a restaurant!".

Cool, yes, I realize that, you could have literally not said anything instead of antagonizing me as i'm walking out.

Hell of it is, I still really wanted to try this place, probably...

Horrible experience. A group of us came in during COVID-19 trying to support the restaurant/bar industry. The tall slender male bartender never said hi or offered a drink menu after over 5 minutes of sitting at a very empty bar & waiting. This is the second this has happened with a different bartender.
