Make It Right! I am so very tired of this restaurant serving bad food not cooked correctly, overcharging for items and the complete bad treatment by the staff. I spent about $80 on food, first off not what I ordered, and what was delivered was found fatty and under cooked (frightening when speaking of pork). This time the sides did come as ordered and in the sizes I ordered, and was correctly charged for, this is not usual at all. I ordered Baby-back ribs and received short ribs..... I don't like how they are made, never eat them because I want and order Baby-back ribs.
Called to make my complaint and was handed off to someone who was "supposedly" a manager and after I called her out for laughing at me while telling me I could bring the food back she suddenly was "part of the management team." The conversation was not that of someone who could solve a problem, even should she want to.
I then wait 5 minutes to speak to the owner (I seriously have my doubts). He basically said sorry, he would replace the ribs... because yes driving back down there to get even sketcher food was top of my list to do. I am put out money and time for the error they make, and he is willing to replace the food. Oh yeah! I asked him to make it right for the next customer, I was not looking for free food, I am just plain old fashioned tired of bad service and treatment.
This business unit should close, the employees don't want to work and take it out on customers, the managers make false promises, knowing driving back in ridiculous Trussville traffic is too much after a hard day at work, not to mention, then making the mistake and having the expectation of me to go even further with you down that unhappy trail.
I supported during COVID, not complaining being supportive, during tough times for businesses. Enough is enough. I am not asking for anything more than what I am promised by way of any restaurant.... Receiving food cooked properly, charged fairly, and delivered to me without yelling, lying or cheating.
We as consumers choose where to spend our hard earned money, well deserved time and thankfully Birmingham is blessed with many choices...
Read moreI just attempted to give this place another shot. Honestly, I am much more of a fan of Moe’s and Jim N Nick’s, but this is the close spot for me. I got to-go food, a chicken and rib combo plate with okra, Mac, and a side of chow chow. Got home to cold mac, honestly didn’t surprise me. They have often given me cold food, but it is usually late and I chalk it up to them trying to close. Then my ribs were about bare to the bone.
I called and got the Gm. I am gonna assume his name was Jeff since that was the name of the person in charge, but I honestly never got his name. I only addressed the Gm as boss man since he never introduced himself. I was asked to bring my old plate in to get a new one. I work in food and this makes sense to me. I was also told he would have it ready when I got there. I was greeted with a piss poor attitude from him. He took my plate, asked what I had (even though he was holding it), and went on. Never said anything else to me while I waited. The cashier was super sweet and could tell I wasn’t happy about this. The to go lady also asked if she had messed up. I let her know it couldn’t have been her fault, her boss was working expo. He dropped the food off for me and just walked around to watch me check it. It was a giant box of ribs. Like a ridiculous amount of. Like an “FU”. I tell him I’m missing the chicken, and that this all should have been ready when I got here and acted like I didn’t tell him in the first place. Even though I gave the man the old plate that I had not finished out of respect of trying to let, assumedly, Jeff handle it. The sweet cashier let me know the owner was in, but I’m assuming the Gm refused to let her get that far. He tried giving me a number, but honestly just won’t be going back. Hopefully someone who cares about this business can do something about cold...
Read moreShort line.. food as expected (in taste prep & serving on a wax paper not a plate) I haven't been back in atleast 15 years and the food was still like I remember. Located chalkville road close to I59 in Trussville. (Bare with me we were passing through roads & locations are fuzzy.). We arrived at noon on a Saturday. The place was fairly empty. A marching band (couple of school busses & their occupants) walked in as we did. Years ago this would have made our meal service easily an extra hour delayed. This time service was quick. Our order correct & served with no quality nor cooking concerns. We have been visiting Full Moon Barbeque since y2k, aka year 2000. The spuds were the size of footballs and everyone was pleased. The only problem I had was explaining to our guest whom wanted a pulled pork sandwich- the difference of open face vs normal BBQ sandwich. I'm really happy to see not only did they survive the pandemic-they also maintained their quality as I remembered it years ago. With dozens of BBQ options as we pass through Birmingham - we chose Full Moon. Consistently reliable, clean, prompt, and good. My only con (and yes this is lifestyle concern) was the tvs were too loud. For our family with extreme sensitivity to loud & crowded places- I failed to remember the volume & to get my child head phones to minimize the sensitivity to loud banter, tvs, and music all while trying to concentrate on reading the menu or our family conversation whilst eating. I do not hold this against Blue Moon. Yet I can't in good faith give 100 star review knowing we will have to choose the noise... or worse another kiddo with auditory stimulation and processing disorders- has to endure the overwhelming sounds...
