This restaurant opened just two months ago. Today I had a great meal of high quality at a great price and the service was friendly and prompt. It is like being in the west coast of Mexico enjoying the coastal seafood of the state of Sinaloa (I know because I have been there). My girlfriend and I shared the “Coco Relleno” which is a fresh coconut filled with Scallops, Shrimp, Octopus and crabmeat in a mushroom sauce with the coconut meat stirred in. It was delicious!!
To start we had their Guacamole which is made fresh with ripped avocados, it is a good amount and is the guacamole you wish you can learn to do. We also ordered their Shrimp Empanadas which were full of shrimp and cheese. Simply delicious and great value.
We had a feast, the only thing I missed was the view of the Pacific Ocean.
We will definitely be back to try many of the other dishes like Red Snapper (called huachinango in México and Pargo in the Caribbean) or Langostinos in one of many ways or fresh octopus which is not easy to do at home but they do it here so well. There are so many dishes to select and they are big enough to feed two people.
The restaurant is simple, very clean with new nice floors, new Mexican style furniture and nice wooden walls. They also have a deck area with several tables.
I was surprised that the restaurant doesn’t include Mexican deserts. I sent one of the owners a message via the nice waitress that they should consider adding a few authentic Mexican desserts.
FYI, the restaurant is not visible from Horsepen road, because the restaurant is behind two restaurants that face Horsepen rd (Queen Tea and Original Mexican) just go in between these two restaurants from Horsepen drive and you will find Mariscos Del Barco. If you use a GPS it might take you to # 6409 Rigsby rd and you will be facing the back of the restaurant and it will look like it is closed, you need to enter the drive way of #6409 to go into the front of the house where the restaurant entrance is and there is plenty of...
Read moreThe restaurant was hard to find and small space. The music was annoying and extremely loud for the afternoon (barely could think). The bathroom had no toilet paper and floor was sticky and stinky. The waitress brought my Husband the wrong drink and they make you buy bottled water and have no fountain machine. My Husband got Fried Talapia which was very dry and flavorless for $16 with tons of fries, plain rice, and a small mini salad on plate with no salad dressing. I got the jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon with same sides...for $19. I'm just saying that the atmosphere, quality and choice of items should be better. Just because you have a small restaurant, doesn't mean you can't offer better accommodations to your guests and give them a WOW experience. I only gave it 2 stars because we liked the seating which seating was so tight to walk to the one bathroom in the...
Read moreI'm changing my rating from 5 to 3, only because a couple of the dishes we tried where not terrible or else it would be less, this last visit was not good, the menu has changed and so has the flavor of the food, no idea if it's a different owner or chef, when I mentioned to the waitress that the ceviche didn't look or taste the same and she had no idea why I wasn't askingfor it to be removed from tab i just wanted to know why. It's claiming to be Sinaloa style food from Mexico and at least what I tried was not even close. We were a group of 7 people and several items in the menu they didn't have. Why get a new menu if you don't have the dishes listed. Very...
