I hate to be the one to leave a less than stellar review, but it’s an honest one. I was excited to try a new and different place in Tucker because I had heard some positive buzz about this restaurant. However, really was a miss for us. We went early on a Friday evening for dinner and when we arrived there were 4-5 groups of people already seated and either eating or waiting on food to arrive. There was only one nice gentleman working as host, waiter, server. Considering he was also answering a continually ringing phone, it didn’t actually take that long to order. We ordered a veggie somosa appetizer to share and I ordered the chicken chili and my husband ordered the lamb curry. Then the wait began. It was at least 30 minutes while we watched a very active takeout service and listened to a slightly loud and continually ringing phone which began to grow very distracting since many times the waiter was unable to answer it as he tried his best to serve a growing number of people (which I would also interpret as a good sign for the food, but it was definitely distracting). We are very patient people but were finally to the point to have to ask where our food was when the waiter brought out just my husband’s lamb order. As I was about to ask about the appetizer, he informed us that they were out of the veggie somosas. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice to know much sooner since we were hungry and could have ordered something else as a replacement. The waiter then left our table to what I assumed was to retrieve my food but that didn’t arrive for at least another 5 plus minutes. I was again about to ask when he finally brought it. While the chicken chili was nicely spiced and decent flavored sauce, the chicken itself was overdone and overall only OK, nothing to run back for. My husband’s lamb curry was the biggest disappointment. Again a nicely flavored curry sauce but swimming in oil and the meat itself tough as shoe leather. I tried a bite and you just had to chew chew chew each piece, not pleasant. I did overhear others commenting how tasty their meals were to the waiter while we were there, but we did not share that experience. Maybe we just chose bad with one big miss, one single, and one strikeout, but that shouldn’t be something to worry about if going to a place that is truly great, which I would say this place was not. It was also unfortunate that the front of house was one lone man on a busy Friday evening. I’ll probably give it a second chance at some point since there are some unique menu items I’d still like to try, but I have several much more reliable South Asian places that I would rather visit...

As for the chowmein, it’s a standout dish as well. The noodles are cooked to perfection, coated in a savory sauce, and tossed with fresh vegetables that provide a satisfying crunch. The balance of spices creates a comforting yet exciting flavor profile that keeps you coming back for more.

Read moreThis place is such a gem! We cannot rave enough about the flavor bomb that hit us. The restaurant is located in a shopping center next to ACE Hardware, and still has a Thai Restaurant sign up. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual. The staff is very welcoming.
The Chili Momo (chicken) was packed with flavor. The momos in this dish were fried. The chili paste and fresh vegetables had a beautiful balance between sweet, sour, and spicy. The steamed Vegetable Momo had a good filling texture-- the skin was also thin and chewy. The sauce on the side paired really well with the momo.
The Chicken Makhani had a nice strong tomato base (which we prefer). The garlic naan was a bit too dense and buttery for us.
The Nepali Thali (with chicken) really showcased Nepalese cuisine. It had a little bit of everything!
All of the dishes really displayed how Nepalese food draws inspiration from its region. We cannot wait...
