First time here and once I came in maybe it’s because I’m from culture difference 3 waiters spotted me and just stood talking in the back completely ignoring me, red flag 🚩 one that’s not cool. Than an old couple enters and the waiter quickly comes up to them to seat them and not greet me at all, red flag 🚩 2 I just wanted to order to go. It was my first time there. I’m on my lunch break so I had to wait a couple more minutes. Finally, a girl waitress acknowledge me. And I told her this is my first time here I just want to order to go because I’m on my lunch break and I have to get back to work. She takes my order She told me it should be ready most likely within 15 minutes. It took a little longer than that I waited 30 minutes I ordered a frappe. I would’ve thought that that’s the first thing they would’ve gave me while waiting, but they didn’t. I would’ve thought that they would’ve put napkins or some type of utensils but nope, I didn’t get that either. And for the first time, trying the frappe here, it’s taste like black coffee mixed with water Disgusting no sugar nothing it just taste like black coffee mix with water it’s not slushy like disgusting horrible it was my first time here my last time here. For anyone that’s Hispanic or Black Don’t waste your time coming to this place because they’re not used to seeing anyone of color not even if ordering to go. It sucks when you like to try different foods and I was nice enough to tip the waitress because the girl was really kind to me, she’s the only one that really stepped up so I tipped her for that because I know the method of tipping I used to work in a restaurant in Times Square, New York City and I know better than that to not judge a book 📕 by its cover. But for anyone that wants to order the frappe from here, don’t waste your time that ishh is not even drinkable 31.95 I spent here just for a horrible experience on to go. I didn’t enjoy the Lamberger though and the fries I just wish I would’ve had a better experience coming here for the first time. First and last...
Read moreI’m not super familiar with Greek food, but my mom is into it. We don’t really have any amazing Greek places near us either. So when we visited Kostas for the first time, I was curious. I was so thrilled by the friendly atmosphere and kind people running the place. Our waitress, Audrey, was so funny and had a theatrical and sweet personality. She took amazing care of us and we felt like we were her old friends. The owner, Max, came over and introduced himself with firm handshakes and incredibly friendly greetings, asking us where we come from and what sort of Greek food we like— if we need any help, he or the waitresses could help out. Numerous times throughout the night Max would come visit us and other parties, chatting and sharing his life story, his experiences with Greek food growing up. We felt so welcome in his presence and learned so much about the culture. The food was amazing. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We had the Super Greek Salad, the Sampler appetizer, the Sankopita and these incredible spiced fried chickpeas for out appetizers. For dinner we had the Gyro platters with orzo, and I swear that orzo was like heaven. The gyro meat was crispy and perfectly spiced. For dessert, we shared the baklava sundae with their special homemade olive oil ice cream. I had the Greek frappe and it was amazing, the coffee was rich and paired perfectly with the homemade ice cream. Max shared about the history of the Greek frappe when checking on us. Ultimately, it was an amazing experience. The food was great, and everyone was very attentive and made us feel like family. I can 100% see how this place is top rated in Tuckerton. We will be back!! Thank...
Read moreIt started out ok, but when the saganaki was served, it was melted in microwave, it should have been fried, it sat in some king of liquid. Then we ordered lamb shans, which took forever. In the meantime, we see our server eating in the back. As we sit with dirty dishes on the table, finally the lamb shank comes out. It also must have been cooked in the microwave. Lamb shank cooked correctly, the meat is tender, or should I say should be tender. The meat is cooked slowly. Our lamb shanks were tough and the fat like a rubber banks. In the meantime, dirty dishes on the table. It was unbeatable. Server no where in sight. Finally after she was done doing whatever she was doing sent out the boss. He insisted the lamb was not cooked in microwave, but it was clear that he was lying. So we asked for mousaka and pasticho instead. Very bland, no taste. I though I finally found a good Greek restuarant, I was wrong.needless o say, very disappointed. We spent $60 and ate cheese in liquid. Not...
