Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Tucson

TAKE GREAT CAUTION EATING FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT Not only was our wait ridiculously long but our visit was HORRIBLE & DISGUSTING. The 2 male employees that night (Jan 19th) DESPERATELY need to be trained properly on cleanliness, food handling, cross contamination & customer service skills. Not being Tucson locals we don't know the areas or best places to visit, Saturday night was proof of that. At 9pm we were heading to our hotel from an event & decided Church's would be great, Big Mistake. We ordered for 3 adults then sat at a filthy table next to a filthy window sill. While waiting for about 25 minutes & witnessing others who ordered well after we had, we were told one of our meals was short a chicken strip. We were then given the option to wait 12 minutes for one to be made OR get a free side. Being upset our order would be sitting over 10 minutes for the correction, the Female employee apologized & offered a couple free sides along with a strip meal. Side note... we witnessed a man in the lobby who ordered well after us eating chicken strips, I guess his wait time & single order was more important than ours. After several minutes we overheard one Male ask the other "Who's chicken strips?" in which the other (working the register) responds "Theirs" while pointing at us. Watching them we witnessed the Male employee who was sweeping lean the broom against the food rack, walk past the register to the opposite side, grab a box container, grab the fryer bin, placed the strips in the box which was ALL done without washing his hands or wearing any gloves. The gross Male then tried to hand our friend the meal & when our friend explained he needed the rest of the order the gross Male wanted to argue with him stating that's all we get. Keep in mind he was standing next to the Female employee when she offered the free extra sides for our inconvenience. As I was approaching the counter the immature Male at the register (while laughing) explained to the other we had an additional bag in which the gross Male proceeded to rummage through it with his filthy hands. I then told him to stop touching the food because I saw he didn't wash his hands in which he lied "yes I did" then proceeded to rummage through the bag. My husband then stated we had both saw him put the broom down & immediately touch food in which I then demanded a refund. Keep in mind while all this is occurring the immature Male at the register is giggling as if putting our health in jeopardy was comical. The Female employee was called forward in which she repeatedly apologized during the refund process, the immature cashier continued to giggle & the gross Male was suggesting he wanted the food he had contaminated. We left hungry 40 minutes after our initial arrival time utterly grossed out & confused as to HOW those two males would be hired improperly trained in customer service & food handling. Take Great Caution eating from this...

I have been to this church and twice in the last month. The first time I ordered two meals. The young lady out front but literally three french fries in one bag and 6 in the other. I had to talk to the manager and he made it right the common sense is not their.. then I went again last night ordered a 12-piece tender three sides some biscuits and french fries. The older lady at the counter gave me for dipping sauces. I asked for more she said no you're only allowed to have four. I would like I have 12 tenders chicken tenders. All the sides and french fries I need two or three more please she said no. The customer behind me was upset with them not giving me the sauce and said something to them also. This is ridiculous they won't give you a few sauces if you ask and they won't give you all your French fries. Send today a family member went there got food and got food poisoning. This afternoon. I would not recommend this churches to anyone ever. Bad customer service by the people running the register and unsafe unhealthy handling...

I normally get very good fried chicken from here, but not tonight. Tonight I ordered 10 pieces of chicken, and when I got home, what I found inside the box disappointed me to the extreme. 10 pieces of burnt, dry chicken, overcooked in oil that should have been replaced for fresh oil a week ago, but instead they clearly kept filtering it long past its useful lifespan.

This stuff is inedible. The breading is borderline black on every piece in this box. Going to include a few photos, but Samsung cameras don't reproduce colors in a way I would describe as accurate so its not going to show what I'm seeing perfectly.
