Pleasant experience. Immediately greeted upon entry. The establishment appeared to be clean, will maintained and devoid of any noticable deferred issues. We didn't find the food to be remotely exceptional, instead we found it noticably lacking in the flavor dept. It wasn't bad food, but instead it was sadly rather disappointingly, it just wasn't very good food, certainly not consistent with anything remotely close to the previous glowing 5star reviews found here. Our server wasn't overly enthusiastic. I kept moving my empty water glass to the edge of the table to get her attention to refill it, but each and every time, l still had to ask her for a water refill as she seemingly failed to notice it. We started out with egg rolls. Sadly they had a weak diminished flavor and just missed the mark. Additionally I thought that they were excessively oily or greasy. I ordered the beef and snow peas, and while it appeared visually stunning upon presentation, it was equally deminished of any substantial flavor depth. Again just missing the mark. My dinner companion ordered the beef lo mein, she was less then impressed with it as well advising it lacked any substantial flavor profile. Additionally she found it excessively oily. From the cook to the server, I certainly don't believe that we were shown their best effort. My dinner companion used the ladies room and advised that there was no toilet paper present. I really felt that the attention to detail was definitely deficient and lacking here by the entire staff. Oddly indifference seems to be the normal effort here. I found our visit simply disappointing. While not bad, this is not an establishment that I would highly recommend patronizing. If there's not a problem with your payment why should you willingly accept a problem with their establishment and it's products?

After a morning hike, I was in the mood for a Chinese buffet but wanted to try a place where I had never dined. Searching ‘Chinese Buffet’ on Google Maps, this was one of the top places to pop up. The Google description mentions “…plus a lunch buffet…”, so I visited their website. Scroll down the home page to the title “Welcome to Dragon’s Place” (sic Place, not Palace). Third sentence, “With an extensive lunch buffet…” Just what I’m looking for, so off to Broadway/Camino Seco. Upon arriving, there is one customer seated, minding his own business. I hear two or three voices in the back. The main dining area to the right appears closed. No buffet in evidence. No one from the restaurant visible. No one comes out to greet me. Two signs posted describe how the cashier is apparently never around. Some homeless guy could easily walk away with that “Tip Jar” you see in the photo, but given the attentive service, he’d probably find the jar empty. I waited maybe 3 or 4 minutes, took the two photos, took my leave. Can’t rate the food, as I didn’t eat here, but the excellent service and warm inviting atmosphere were non-existent. As busy as the restaurant was, I can’t imagine their food inventory is turning frequently… but the food probably is! 😂 And so in my quest for a different Chinese buffet I drove all the way across town to Park & I-10 to try Lin’s Grand Buffet, but that’s a different review…

I really wish I could leave a higher review, but I cannot. I ordered take-out through a delivery app. Ordering was easy and prices were fair. The wait time was longer once I placed my order, and I arrived before the app said it was ready. Thankfully I went in since my food was ready already and looked like it had been for a little while. The staff seemed extremely friendly. They thanked me for my order. I saw a few others picking up food in my time there. I ordered beef lo mein and wontons. I was surprised at 10 wontons costing just over $3 when I ordered. The lo mein was good, exactly the kind of tasty inauthentic Chinese food Americans have grown to love. On the other hand, the wontons were not wontons. Please look closely at my picture. They literally looked like tortilla strips fried into nests. They tasted like any other fried dough, but were EMPTY! No filling!! In a wonton! I didn’t expect much for $3 but don’t call whatever that was a wonton. I wouldn’t eat there again before exhausting other Chinese options in the area.

Well, it's food.

I never ate inside so can't comment on that

I always ordered delivery and they are super friendly, very prompt in delivery, and rarely make mistakes. I love their Beef and Broccoli dish and their lunch special is enough to fill anyone up.

However, they do not fit my personal preference of Chinese take out. Being from New York, I understand that taste will vary from state to state. I understand ingredients and style aren't going to be the same everywhere. But I do expect a similar satisfaction when it comes to certain dishes. For example, the General Tso Chicken isn't how I pictured it would be. (Imagine orange chicken from Panda Express only less sweet and very spicy) From my experience, that dish is supposed to be spicy, the batter on the chicken is crisp yet saucy, and all around filling. What I got from this place was something along the lines of Sweet and Sour chicken with the General Tso sauce sprinkled on top. Not sure if that is just the style here or what but it is not my cup of tea.

So you can imagine it is a little difficult for me to find something that I really like. The bright side is I did find food that I enjoy, the dark side is that there isn't much on the menu that I would eat again. Taste is subjective so I'll leave it up to you to decide what looks good and worth while.

Their food can run a little oily at times. So if you have a weak stomach, be cautious,. Prices are a little high from what I am used to but their portion sizes are good. Overall they are a decent restaurant with lots of work and improvement...
