Mixed bag every time I visit a Dutch Bros. I've ordered roughly 6 times at various locations, three of these times including my last, there were issues. Generally, it's a size issue, I order a large and receive a medium. This is a minor error as they typically give me the medium and the large for the error. However, the last time I ordered a non caffenated drink for my child they made a mistake. Essentially, they gave me a coffee drink intended for the car behind me. I asked about it and was assured that it was correct. Not two seconds later anther employee provided me with the rest of my order. I now had four drinks when I ordered three, sounds great right, not exactly. Out of four employees none of them knew what drink was the uncaffenated one. On top of that they argued with me about my order, refusing to own up to the mistake. It came down to me telling them they were wrong, and the fact that I ordered three drinks yet have four is proof enough. Will I go back, yes I enjoy their drinks, I could do without the"what are you doing later" questing that they seem to coach all their employees to say when they're behind on orders. Read moreI'm not saying that all businesses need to take Apple Pay, but any brand new businesses going in should probably consider keeping up with the times and utilize current technology for their customers and target market.
Yes it is my fault that I forgot my wallet at home and that's OK because I can usually use my watch or phone to pay for things at Walgreens or Dunkin' Donuts or Starbucks but they couldn't save me on opening day.
I'm also not a huge fan of the level of overfamiliarity that the employees take with customers. It's unnatural and uncomfortable and you should know the limits and boundaries of people that you don't know. You're a stranger paid to make me coffee, not climb in my car and be my pretend best friend.
