As a native of Atlanta, Georgia, I always looked forward to my summer visits to South Georgia, where I would indulge in the delicious hot dogs from Jimmy’s Hot Dogs in Albany. Fast forward to my recent work trip to Tucson, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a new hot dog paradise at El Sinaloense Hot Dog Cart.

From the moment I took my first bite, I was transported back to those joyful summer days. The hot dogs are not just good; they are an explosion of flavors that left me completely enamored. Each bite was juicy and packed with the perfect blend of toppings, making it a delightful culinary experience.

The welcoming atmosphere and friendly service only enhanced my visit. It’s clear that El Sinaloense is passionate about their craft, and it shows in every detail. This cart has quickly become my go-to choice in Tucson, and I can already tell that I will miss it deeply when I return home.

Thank you, El Sinaloense Hot Dog Cart, for reigniting my love for hot dogs and providing me with such a memorable dining experience! You’ve officially claimed the title of my favorite...

I am from out of town and I visited here with my wife on a Thursday afternoon after receiving several recommendations about this place.

I have to admit that this is probably one of the best hotdogs I have ever had! The hotdog was juicy, the bun was crisp on the outside yet fluffy on the inside, and the toppings of diced onion, tomato, bean were very flavorful!

We visited at rush hour lunch time and yet only waited 5-10 minutes or so. Once we got to the front of the line, they had our order ready before they even gave us change. They had a very efficient system down!

The gentleman taking the orders spoke Spanish but spoke good enough English to understand us and take our orders.

There was plenty of parking in the gravel lot surrounding and they also provided adequate seating with picnic benches under a tent.

I also appreciated the inexpensive price, at $4 a hotdog it was the perfect price for the perfect hotdog!

This place is...

RUIZ HOT DOGS LOS CHIPILONES is the spot if you want good Sonoran hot dogs with flavor, Chile thats cooked and flavored, bread that is fresh and toasted properly with a fully stocked condiment bar and excellent customer service.

At this place: Gross food, horrible customer service, first and last time. Was made to wait for people that arrived after to receive their orders. One person put in an order for 10 or more hot dogs to go. Which was while I was still waiting for my food. When they were given their order, I asked about mine and told I had to wait after someone else. Seriously?? I should have just asked for a refund and left. The food that waited for was flavorless, bread was old, bun was toasted on one and another not at all. Chile with it barely cooked. The horchata grainy and gross, wasn't drinkable. Not worth waiting for, WASN'T WORTH BUYING FOOD THAT'S DISGUSTING. OVER HYPED BY PEOPLE THAT DON'T KNOW A GOOD...

If you’ve never tried a Sonoran Hot Dog this is your sign!!! This is definitely one of my favorite things to eat when I visit home in Tucson, and here are my favorite 3 places to find them 😍 #1) @BKtacos at 5118 South 12th Ave You can enjoy their hot dogs dining in or for takeout. We love them because the buns are so soft + their salsa bar is amazing!! #2) El Sinaloense Hot Dog Cart at 1526 North Alvernon Way This is a father + son owned hot dog stand and everything is soooo fresh. Their Sonoran Hot Dogs have the perfect combo of beans, spiciness & pico, you can also get a yummy horchata for $2.5! #3) My favorite spot: @lacarretadelrorro_ at ***5505 W Cortaro Farms Rd*** This spot has such a cute vibe + they only have patio seating. All of their toppings were incredible, but they have a heavenly jalapeño cream that makes this place really stand out! Tag your friends that need to try a Sonoran Hot Dog!! I’m hesitant to post because I don’t want this intriguing wonder of hot doggity excellence to be overwhelmed with lessor human replicants; but it is that good; and it is the season of Lent, so my altruistic nature is subsumed by my atavistic urge to tell you all to look elsewhere. This is a no holds barred, no moral relevance, no it can’t be possible, no I wish the world was like this all the time BS. We are simply and straight forwardly talking about the best Sonoran hotdogs north of the border and south of Saskatchewan (I kid, nothing against our neighbors to the North but if they could do this they wouldn’t be down here all winter). This is a gastronomic gem, tarps under the sun, buried in the dust and desert ofTucson center of excellence…full stop! You’re welcome.
