Oh boy. Me and my girlfriend have been coming here for about a year. Not only is it the BEST Asian Cuisine in Tucson. Hands down our favorite place to eat when we dine in Tucson. Regrettably we are ashamed to say we always order the same three things. Beef Bulgogi, Beef Kalbi and Kimbap. Just because we couldn't bare going there to eat and not getting these masterpieces of dishes. Never have I ever had even a crumb no, an atom of bad food here. They start with a lovely little soup very quaint. Then we get our big steaming cast iron cows full of meat perfectly seasoned, cooked and garnished along with a variety of little sides that pair perfectly with each bite. All we can do is just stuff our faces and nod joyfully. No words are spoken until all the food is done. Oh and the servers are just lovely it's always the same pleasant lady, professional man and the most precious old lady. They always take care of anything we need with haste and love. The atmosphere is superb. Two different TV's both with quirky Korean drama's playing. A beautiful bar. Very modern/comfort white/grey dining area very well maintained. Both bathrooms also very nice and clean. Lobby clean and open with seating and shrubbery. I couldn't come up with a bad thing to say even if it was my grandmothers dying wish and I LOVE my grandmother. It's never super busy but never empty with take out orders flying out the door. It's the perfect example of a perfect restaurant. Coming from a couple who have eaten here over 20 times and 20 more to come. I highly recommend...
Read moreI recently came back with my sister and almost 8 month nephew. They have remodeled the interior and I think it looks fantastic. It has a more modern look with darker tiles and the womans bathrooms feels more open/roomy. The workers were very kind to us as we navigated trying to eat with the baby and his messes (such as causing us to drop utensils and baby food spills). The workers checked on us regularly and tried to get my nephew to smile. The food is amazing as always! I got the pork bulgolgi and my sister got the beef bulgolgi. To compare the two I would say that if you want spice go for pork and if you want a sweeter flavor go for beef! Both come with side dishes of bean sprouts, kimchi, sliced cucmbers, and cubed potato. The mean comes out sizzling on a pan shaped like a cow and is cooked with grilled onions. We also ordered the tebokki appetizer medium flavored and it was very good and spicy. Also if you arent well versed in chopsticks it can be hard to grab the cylindrical rice cake!
My sister is a picky eater so I was really suprised she was willing to try the tebokki and some of the side dishes that come with the bulgolgi. I think that goes to show how delicious the food looks it caused her to want a taste. Thats a...
Read moreThe inside is so beautiful and the food was very delicious. (I am Korean-American and know what good quality Korean food tastes like!)
However, the only thing that was awkward, for lack of a better word, was the waitress. I came for inside dining with a friend and the waitress tells us we can sit anywhere we want. We go to a booth and that is not allowed because that is where the owner sleeps (lol, we didn't need all that information), but we chose that booth because it helps with social distancing and the other booth wasn't cleaned up and the other one was occupied! Then we sat in front of the TV with 6 seats and usually I wouldn't sit at such a big table for 6 people, but again for social distancing, etc we sat there and she said we couldn't sit there either in case a party of 6 people comes in she would need to seat them there. Mind you, the majority of the restaurant has tables for 6. Basically had to play musical chairs to settle down to order our food.
Thankfully the third spot was allowed. She made some awkward jokes to my friend when she asked for a fork and commented that she didn't like spicy food. They were pretty unnecessary comments but ultimately, we came for the food. Food was great!...
