This is a review of customer service, not food. I don't normally leave feedback, but I had a very unusual experience at this location today. I came in with an order of 9 sandwiches, totaling about $60. This was around 12:30pm, and when I began ordering, there was no one behind me. The woman taking my order was fairly polite, but seemed increasingly annoyed as I added sandwiches to my order. The staff on the line was available, but instead of having them begin to prepare the order, she added each item to one long ticket before they started. They had some sort of exchange about this, but I didn't hear the details. By the time I finished ordering there were 3 or 4 people behind me in line. The cashier was very friendly, and at this point, I felt like the overall experience was fair to positive.
This is when things took a turn. When all of the sandwiches were ready, the manager packed them up in a large bag, handed it me, and directed me to the catering menus on the side of the store. In the future, he said, when I had a large order, anything over $50, I should call ahead or order online with at least 24 hours notice so that they could make sure they had enough bread. If this was a $200 order, I would understand, but what he was basically telling me was that for a $60 order of nine sandwiches (no chips, no drinks, no cookies), he needed 24 hours notice, and that I had really put them out, even though there was no point in the time I was there that the line was more than 4 deep. Maybe this is Jersey Mike's policy (no orders over $50 without 24 hours notice), but I somehow doubt that. What I did get out of this exchange was feeling reprimanded for giving the store business, and being blamed for the store's own organizational shortcomings.

Read moreI went to this place to try it out because everyone has been saying how great it was. So I decided to place an online order because I am working and don't have time to wait in line, I do this with most places during the work week for lunch, in fact, I decide where to eat based on the availability of ordering online so I can just run in to pick it up. I placed my order at 12:09 pm and it said it would be ready around 12:31. I got there and saw the line and thought to myself "Go you for ordering online, you won't be waiting in this huge line". Well, that was a stupid thought because the lady at the end of that line got her order before me. I asked about my order to the guy working the register and he was either stoned or just sounds stoned because he looked at me like I was crazy when I asked about my online order and his reply was "Online Order?" (Think Keanu Reeves' voice from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures). Anyway, after explaining I placed an online order, he wandered off and I waited. No one came back to me to let me know what was going on with my order though. Then another guy asked what I was waiting on so I told him and he came back and told me it would be another minute. So for a time check it is now about 12:40 and still no Sammy in my Handy. I got my sandwich about 5 min later and left. My order wasn't correct but I was so hungry and late I didn't turn around to have it fixed. So three stars is all this place gets, the food was so so but not worth the wait or the...
Read more'Incredibly disappointing and overpriced!' I have personally ran restaurants and try very hard to be forgiving but this place is the reason sandwich shops fail. The prices are outrageous. They 'try' to claim the reason they are so great is that they make it on the premises and blah, blah, blah but no matter 'what' you do, you have to do it either 'cheaper' than the national chain of Subway or 'BETTER' than the national chains.
Jersey Mike's Subs does neither.
The store has a very appealing, clean and up to date visual appearance. The food is made boom fresh right in front of you. What shocks you to death is the end prices...! For TWO sandwich meals, we spent $37.00! Are you kidding me?! For clarity, these were dry sandwiches with lettuce, tomato and a few varied toppings. WAY overpriced. The management obviously has not struck a cord with purchases to make these prices competitive thus, they will fail. When you can purchase two TIMES the food at the local competing chain, this is a dud.
Sadly, as much as I love to share positive recommendations, Jersey Mike's is a complete, financial exorbitant, wasteful gimmick. There isn't any competition to make you come back, if not for the price alone! The sandwiches were dry, unappealing and had practically zero flavor despite the robust and fresh ingredients. Sorry to say, this is a NO-go and never to return again. What 'would' make me return again... try halving your prices. Seriously. This...
