We attended an event at the east end of Speedway Saturday night. We live 25 miles away in the NW. We do have a few 'go to' restaurants in this part of town, but none on Speedway, so we wanted to see what we could find.

I've go to admit that the building Oregano's has is rather unique and has caught our attention many times in the past, so we decided to give it a shot.

Well, our first impression was less then stellar. We arrived at 7:45. There were empty table that we could see, that had not been bussed. We waited near the entrance, at the sign that clearly said, "wait to be seated". No one acknowledged us, in spite of several waitpersons scurrying about nearby. Finally, I thought we were going to be seated, as I saw a waiter coming from the back, from behind the bar (and perhaps kitchen).

Unfortunately, this guy was more introduced in his 'bromance' as he stopped at the bar, rubbing the back of a gentleman seated there and they spoke and laughed. I finaly interuppted and asked if I was supposed to find my own table - he replied no, that someone would help me soon.

So, we waited as he continued his personal conversation with the guest at the bar. He finally looked over and said, "Well there is a table here, but I have to clean it first...he then walked to the back dining room and said, "oh, here is a clean table' to which he finaly seated us.

Our waiter was very friendly and obvious that he knew what he was doing, I just don't think his heart was on it, being enarly 8pm on a Saturday night, he even share that he would bo out of there soon and having a beer with his friends, as soon as his clean up was finished.

He suggested the chessy garlig bread with a side of marna sauce to get us started and we took him up on this - the highlight of the evening. However, when it arrived we did not have out set ups and there are no napkins on the table. Well, the bread is a little gresy and it took some effort to get his attention.

Finally our food came, I had the Bowl-O paste - an angel hair. I opted for the meat sauce. My wife had the cold Turkey sandwich. She enjoyed here. Mine on the other hand was over cooked and the meat sauce was nothing more than large chunks of ground beef, that I do not believe had any seasoning.

Had the waiter returned to check on the meal, I would have sent it back (It's an all you can eat menu entree). But, that did not happen, so I ate my soft, not quit mushsy pasta.

When the check finally came, I was quick to pull out my card - but alas it sat on the table for anothe 10 minutes. when the waited emerged from the kitchen, he did so with two of his fellow waiters and they all seemed to be having a much better time than I was. After he stopped at the commputer and was balancing out from his shift, I finally got his attention and he came and...

Went here with my boyfriend and my niece, it was recommended by a friend of my boyfriends… First off, our server changed 3 times during our visit, our third server was the best one out of the bunch, didn’t get his name. Not many options on the kids menu, we ordered the Pan Pizza, they said it’s a 45 minute wait for it… 45 minutes?! Alright we stayed, we were already there lol. We got an order of garlic bread, that was good, not gonna lie… when the pizza FINALLY came out… it looked decent, we tried it, bottom was burnt, with a hard thick crust around, no flavor, not even the pepperoni had flavor… c’mon. We asked for a box, told the waiter our experience, he offered to take the pizza off the tab, sounds good, easy enough right? Nope, the manager came up to our table with an attitude, “why didn’t you like the pizza, it’s our top seller, what didn’t you like?” Ok calm down, told him my niece asked for LITTLE CAESARS INSTEAD! Then said we can take it but pay for it (initially we decided to just pay and give it away to the homeless)or he would take it off the tab and he would have to keep the pizza, take it Sir, I’ll pay you to take it honestly! Very bad experience aside from our Third waiter, he was nice 👍🏻 maybe the service and food varies by location, not gonna find out tho.. 🫥 Didn’t take more pictures, this was at the begging of the visit, then the experience...

On Saturday, March 6th, I called Oregano's to find out if they take reservations. Kayden said no, but I should call 40 minutes prior to arrival and they would write my name down. 45 minutes before arrival, I called and put my name down for a party of 7. They said it would be an hour wait which was perfectly fine. When we arrived, I went to the hostess booth and they said they made a mistake and should have said an hour and a half. We waited another 45 minutes and were finally brought to a table where we sat for 20 minutes without anyone coming to serve us. After pinning down a waitress, we gave her our drink and meal order all in one. And then waited another 45 minutes before we were served anything. When the food finally came, we were given our plates and the waitress took off without giving any napkins or utensils whatsoever. So we had to track down another waitress to get the utensils so we could actually eat our food. After we finished our meals, we had to wait for 15 minutes for someone to bring the check, which again, we had to grab a waitress for. Not only was the service poor, but I ordered the Veggie Stuffed Sandwich which claims it was baked, however, when I received it, the cheese was melted but everything else was cold and raw vegetables instead of baked. Will never be going back. The whole evening was pathetic, unprofessional, and...

So 1st time here. We got Amanda as our server, she was a sweetheart. Very professional, hit her tables often asking if everything was ok. Which nowadays is rare, but she was Amazing. Also I might point out she had the entire covered patio by herself. The great part was the entire team helped out even the manager. Craig the manager was hustling around helping everywhere as were all the others. Very nice team work. The food was good, I got the angel hair pasta with meatballs, definitely needed more garlic and as you can tell i love fresh parmesean , which when asked Amanda promptly brought some out..thank you. My wife got the stuffed rigatoni, now this was good... my wife, daughter have been here before so I thought I would try it ,garlic bread could use some more garlic but was decent.. good place for Italian, the pizzas were selling well because quite a few custom ordered them and seemed happy....overall a nice place for a meal...will return.. Craig, great team you have and Amanda is the sweetest.... keep up the great work oh and definitely try the calamari for appetizer
