Teppan King's is a new delicious asian fast food restaurant.
Their principal plate is their namesake -- The Teppanyaki, which can come with your choice of meat or shrimp. I got the chicken and shrimp Teppanyaki, and it was bursting with flavor. The chicken was delightfully tender and the shrimp was properly grilled so that it stayed moist. Also, I have been having a hard time lately finding an asian restaurant that makes good noodles which are my favorite side dish, and the ones here are fantastic.
I also ordered two rolls of their cooked sushi, the Torito roll and the Shrimp Tempura roll. Both were presented beautifully like works of art, and they were much larger than I expected for the price. I stuffed down a few more pieces of sushi than I should have because they were just so good.
On top of the great food, they also had wonderful service. The waitress who took our order was kind and answered a few questions we had, and checked in with us at good intervals during our meal, making sure we had enough to drink and any sauces we desired.
You can access the parking area from Ft Lowell or from Campbell, and the dining area is outdoors but they have tarps and overhangs set up to provide shade. They will take your order at your table, or you can place a to-go or catering order by phone. There is no public restroom, but they do provide a sink to wash up. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Currently they only accept cash, but they've ordered a card reader so probably within a week or two that will be an option.
We will definitely come here again to enjoy...
Read moreIf I could use three words to describe this food truck they would be as follows, luxurious, classy, and elite. I pulled right up to the dining arena of this exclusive restaurant, and I was immediately struck by the atmosphere. It was somehow rustic and modern at the same time. In a sense it was vulgar and chic simultaneously. I walked directly to the proprietor of the establishment and ordered what is known as teppanyaki. This dish cost 25 dollars so I had some pretty high expectations. 25 dollars could buy like 25 Mc chickens at macdonalds across the street. 25 dollars is a lot, so I expected a lot. However, I was sorely disappointed. This dish consisted of some shrimp, which was good, but mostly rice and noodles. It tasted good, however 25 dollars is simply too much to pay for a dish like this. This place is for the wealthy, the upper class, the billionaires. I cannot imagine going back to this place because it makes me feel poor. I feel insignificant next to the wealthy patrons who regularly eat here. I am too poor to afford to eat here and too lowly to feel comfortable in an upper class...

Not cheap but but the steak is good quality and portions. The NY steak is juicy and tender. Everything came out hot and fresh. The Sushi rolls are filling and tasty. I would recommend they cook the noodles less as they are slightly overcooked but other than that no complaints.
I’ll be back one...
