I feel bad for writing a less than stellar review because the staff was friendly, and they gave us (incredibly salty) miso soup before the meal and a cream puff at the end for a dessert. The portion sizes were very generous! The presentation of the food was also nice. Apart from the Tootsie roll, though, the sushi was just not good. The fish on top of the rainbow roll must have been left in the fridge without any kind of covering because the texture of it was dried out and flaky. I've never had sushi with that texture before, so that was a new experience for me that my GI system did not seem to appreciate. The soft shell crab and guamuchilito rolls were fine, but nothing really stood out about them. There were tons of different components and some (like the chicken breast) didn't seem to add anything to the overall taste. Because the rolls were so massive, it took several bites for each piece, but you would only get a bite of rice + cream cheese for your first bite, then rice + bacon for the second bite, then rice + cucumber, etc. Overall, I appreciate the concept but will not be back.

We discovered this place last year and now it’s where we go any time we want to eat out! The staff is so friendly and accommodating and the sushi is incredible and the portions are huge! I usually get a donburi bowl and take home half of it for later! I also recommend the carne asada roll because it’s so unique and wonderful! The servers go above and beyond to make you feel taken care of.

We got a complimentary bowl of salad before the sushi and our appetizer arrived. The egg rolls were good. The sushi was good but the shrimp smelled very fishy like it was left out longer than it should be. We removed the shrimp before eating. We paid $16 for a sushi roll that was cut into 7 pieces. Expect to pay around $20 for a sushi roll and drink.

We found this cute little place on maps when we had hit two closed restaurants nearby. The dinning room was cleverly decorated in red and white with an entire wall of silk plants hosting a red neon sign. The service was stellar. The server got our drinks out then brought included miso soup that was the best I've had in a long time. Our waiter offered a second bowl while our main courses were being prepared. I gladly accepted. The prices seemed a bit steep until our dinners arrived. The portions were silly large. We ate as much as we could. The teriyaki chicken stir fry on white rice was thankfully less sweet than average and very pleasant. My chicken and vegetable stir fry with noodles was tasty and big enough to share. Service was thoughtful but not intrusive. The lone waiter took great care of us bringing two perfect profiteroles out for a sweet finish to a surprisingly fine meal. This place is a nice Asian restaurant masquerading as a tiny Mexi...
