A unique hangout in the heart of Tucson, the Kava Bar is a friendly place to try new flavors.

The traditional kava drink was incredible: a very unique earthy taste that had a numbing effect on the mouth. I noticed the calming effects of the drink right away. Served in a bowl with a slice of pineapple (as a chaser), this drink is highly recommended, especially to help wind down a stressful day.

Whitney, Kevin, and their staff bring an absolute personal touch to every drink and interaction, and provide top-notch service. You won't find another place in Tucson like it (except the Kava den haha). They have an awesome bar, lounge area, and cafe, for plenty of areas to socialize and work, and have an assortment of games, dart board, and pool table to keep customers entertained as well....

Great in theory and nice place but music is awful and loud- not a place to hang to study or to play board games with friends (which they do have) unless you love death metal (?) I couldn’t tell what the screaming was about. Kava doesn’t taste good but it isn’t supposed to- had a plain kava single shot and found it relaxing.
