Whataburger — Restaurant in Tucson

08/12/23 LUNCH 3:10PM We had ordered threw drive-thru the young man had read my order back it was correct got to the window to pay and wait for 10mins before we could pay. We paid didn't get a receipt another 10mins pass finally got our food and drinks. We always pull over so we can check our order and no matter what it's always something wrong with our order but this time we ordered a kids meal cheeseburger plan and dry with bacon and no bacon on it. Had to go inside waited in line for 5 more mins to get my son's burger fixed and I had overheard the customer infront of me say they forgot his Texas toast for his chicken strip comb so when I got back to my car to check my chicken strip combos and to find out they forgot the Texas Toast for both of my chicken strip combos. Go back inside to tell them about the toast and one of the cooks a big Mexican blad guy comes up to me trying to scare me with his chest all pushed out please you aint nobody and says What what do you want a large fry and I said no fix my meals. And let me remind you it's been about 40 mins already and the Scrawny white manager comes up and him too clueless on what to do all I ask is to fix my order. I demanded my money back we paid almost $60 dollars for our meal and all the manager says is if I would like a shake and I said no. I TOLD THEM ITS NOT THAT HARD TO CHECK THE BAG TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS IN THERE. YOU READ THE ORDER BACK RIGHT SO EVERYTHING SOULD BE RIGHT ITS NOT THAT HARD. 😡🤬😤 WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AT THIS LOCATION. ITS FINE IF I HAVE TO GO IN FOR KETCHUP OR SAUCE THEY FORGOT TO PUT IN THE BAG BUT COME ON 3 MEALS OUT OF 4...

I lived on SOUTH PARK until about High School back in the 1970s. It was all desert back then, only a couple gas stations where around where the present day WATABURGER sits today. I used to pray to God that a hamburgers joint would open up, after I had my first hamburger down the alley from the government housing my family lived in. My family and I were from Mexico and migrated to the almost all African American neighborhood. So anyways, I had a dream that I walked down south park as a kid and stumbled upon a hamburger joint.....It looked exactly like the WATABURGER sits today! I LOVED going to the new WATABURGER at marketplace! It reminded me of my dream as a kid, everytime I walked thru the door....but the last few times I went since it opened, I've gotten I'll a few times. I get extremely dry mouth and there is a paranoid type of feeling I get, like I'm getting sick! It goes away after chugging gallons of water! The weird feelings goes away....so I narrowed it down to either the cup you give me for my tea, or it's the tea! Not sure if the manager puts any "FRUCK THOSE" ingredients in MY TEA!!! I TRIED CALLING THE MANAGER BUT HE HUNG UP RIGHT BEFORE I WAS ABOUT TO MENTION THE TEA! I CALLED A MINUTE AGO! I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN! MY DREAM TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE APPARENTLY!

My first hamburger I ate at at that Cafe down the alley, I mentioned earlier! Well, it tasted exactly like WATABURGER!

Whataburger has some of the best burgers in AZ, with typically high quality ingredients and flavorful taste. On this trip the staff were friendly enough, the lobby was about half full and there were a couple of dirty tables. We dined in, he had a triple whataburger with cheese combo with onion rings. I had the double whataburger with cheese and fries. I wanted to try the new Dr. pepper shake but they were out. I always order my burgers without mustard or onions. My husband says I am cursed, because almost all fast food places mess.up my order somehow, while his is usually fine. In this case, I specifically asked the cashier if the burger comes with ketchup or mayo,.as I didn't remember and she said that it does come with both. I didn't make any other requests. The fries were perfect for how I like them and my husband's burger was fresh and delicious. My burger seemed a little less fresh but was otherwise a good burger. It did not have mustard or onions on it thankfully, but there also was no ketchup either and the lettuce in mine was basically just.chunks of the heart of the lettuce, while my husband's looked like fresh leafy lettuce. What can ya do? I added some ketchup from the packets given,.and enjoyed the food with my husband. I did try their bathrooms.and they were cleaner...
