I took a trip up to Tullahoma about two weeks ago for a change of pace after working in Belvidere. Piggy's Place wound up being my selection for lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit! I arrived for a fairly late meal (~1:45) so it wasn't super crowded. The parking lot is easy to access. A few people were eating inside, and several carryout orders occurred during my visit. The inside is adorably decorated in your usual southern bbq joint style -- fun pig memorabilia and whatnot. They have a pretty large selection of bbq and an even larger selection of desserts. In retrospect, I definitely regret not getting a slice of cake or pie to go! I am usually a pulled pork girl, but it is pretty unusual to see smoked pulled chicken -- most places only do half or quarter birds -- and I like pulled chicken a lot, so I ventured out and ordered that! I got the smaller sized plate lunch, which comes with a piece of Texas toast and two sides. I went with curly fries and corn on the cob. Overall, the food was good! The pulled chicken was nice and smoky and the perfect serving size. It was a teeny bit dry but that's typical bbq chicken territory and nothing a good dash of creamy, peppery white bbq sauce couldn't fix. Good sauce! My corn on the cob wasn't super sweet -- probably not quite in season yet -- but it was cooked nicely and very juicy. The fries gave strooooong Arby's vibes such that I think they might actually *be* Arby's fries lol, but there's nothing wrong with that. Especially when they were cooked so fresh and came out hot and crispy! The toast was a lovely buttery companion and my sweet tea was on point. The service here though...THAT gets a 5/5, or really a 10/5 if such a thing were possible. I sometimes feel like southern hospitality is a myth or at least an oversimplification of southern social norms, but at this place it's real and sincere. The woman who took my order -- the owner, I later learned, having purchased the restaurant after years as an employee -- treated me and everyone else who walked in the doors with such warmth, kindness, interest, and attentiveness that it made my entire day. Truly everyone was made to feel so welcome. She catered to some older ladies who came in for a birthday, checked in on me in a nonjudgmental but caring way since I was by myself, and greeted regulars with a smile and by their name. She made the place feel like joy! Definitely give this place a go and enjoy the tasty food and wonderful folks. I'd happily return.

Good down home BBQ. I travel quite a bit for work and stopped in. My BBQ haunts tend to focus and perfect brisket more than anything. I tried Piggy's out and enjoyed the smell as I got out of my vehicle. The food was solid. It's not going to knock off my any of my favorite haunts off any lost but it was respectable bbq. Bbq chicken was moist and not over or underdone. Good job. Ribs were fair. Not a lot of texture or smoke on them. Kind of dry on the end piece I had. One center rib was moist. Pulled pork has a bit of bite on the sauce. Heavy vinegar/mustard maybe? based sauce preapplyied. It was pretty good. Sides were generic mashed potatoes and cafeteria style (Lubys or Piccadilly) green beans. All perfectly serviceable. A lot of people were coming by to pickup pies so clearly the husband wife combo worked out well for this company. Overall good BBQ. People were all salt of the earth friendly people. Worth trying if you're in the neighborhood.

5*s for nostalgia. The last time I ate here was 25+ years ago, with my dad. R.I.P. pops. The bar-b-q was just like I remembered. Smoked meat, spicy vinegar based sauce mixed in, on a bun with 2 pickles. I am a Memphis style BBQ lover, so I would not normally go for a Carolina BBQ, but they actually pull it off quite well. Well balanced flavors. Pros: Good food, fair price point, cute decor, a lot of sides other places don't normally have, homemade cakes. Cons: Small dining area, closes early.

Wow...so glad it's 5 minutes away from us! My wife and I recently moved to Tullahoma and we decided one of the first restaurants we wanted to visit was Piggy's Place. I called them to place my order and was really impressed by just how polite the staff member was on the phone. She took my order and I showed up 15 minutes later to pick it up curbside. All of the food was ready so we returned home to eat it. My wife and I ordered the three meat combo samplers so we were able to sample all of the different meats (chicken, ribs, and pulled pork). We were super impressed with the quality of all of the meat and really enjoyed how it just fell off of the bone. It was moist and very tasty. I ordered the beans and corn on the cob as my sides and my wife had the cole slaw and sweet potato tater tots. We loved all of our sides and thought they complimented the meat very well. The cornbread and toast was awesome also. We had the sweet and the mild sauce and both were great! We had read the reviews about the desserts so we ordered the carrot cake and the Italian cream cake. What everyone says about the desserts is exactly correct....THEY ARE AWESOME! Oh, I also forgot to mention that the lady who I picked the food up from recognized me as a veteran and thanked me for my service. She also told me to mention my service in the future when I place my order and I will get free drinks as a thank you for my service. In addition she left a menu and loyalty card in the bag and plenty of sauce! Well, so glad we live in Tullahoma, and also so glad that Piggy's is just five minutes away. If its not five minutes away for you, it is definitely...

Delicious food, better service!! We tried the pulled pork plate with baked beans and potato salad; as well as the bbq nachos. The baked beans have a depth of flavor not usually found in baked beans. And the pulled pork was melt in your mouth delicious! I liked a combo of their mild and hot sauces. Unfortunately after the drive back the chips from the nachos had gotten a little soggy but they were good nonetheless. Oh, and you must try the fruit tea with hints of pineapple and lemon!

The restaurant is probably one of the best COVID safe restaurants I've visited since the pandemic. No seating inside or dining. They have specific spots spaced apart in their dining room for waiting for your takeout order. There's a sign on the door requesting a minimum of people inside and only one person from each party waiting inside. Or there's a number posted outside to call for curbside service. Finally, and this is the coolest - there's a stand for sanitized pens to sign receipts and a bin next to them to for used pens. The way the pens are posted, no need to dig around and touch other pens when grabbing one....
