Haven't eaten here in over a decade as we moved to Stillwater and haven't spent much time in Tulsa since. We were housesitting for my parents while they were out of the country these past 2 weeks though and decided to eat at a few places we used to love. We ordered a a meal each as well as an extra sandwhich each for the next day. I got the bacon cheeseburger meal and my daughter got the #1 with cheese, we had them large sized as we are used to most places like Arby's and Wendy's that come with small everything! That was our mistake for not asking first lol. The large drinks are a whopping 44oz, I was expecting 32oz drinks and the soda was strong. I usually order drinks without ice at most fast food places as it always seems either watered down or is all ice. Next time I won't do that here. Maybe its just because we are used to the zero sugar Mountain Dew at home but it seemed exceptionally sweet and strongly flavored here. Now the fries weren't over the top, what you would expect for a large fry. Somewhere in between McDonalds med and large size so we were glad we got them large. My daughter ordered the chicken sandwich as her next day meal and I got the regular burger with cheese, the #1 without the drink/fries. Everything was excellent! It is a bit pricey for a fast food burger, the sandwiches alone were over $7 each and the meals varied from $10 (the #1) to $12 (the bacon cheeseburger meal) before they were large sized for an extra .89¢.. Worth it, even though we could have easily shared a drink. Its definitely a better deal to just get a combo than a sandwich alone. I was shocked at how expensive the single sandwiches were. However, they were good. Well cooked and made, not undercooked and pink inside or overcooked and dry and they weren't stingy at all with all the veggies and condiments that come on them which was their saving grace for me after seeing how much they cost. The veggies were fresh, not wilted, limp, browning or slimy. As I have gotten in the past at other fast food places. Everything had good texture and flavor. Surprisingly even the tomatoes were red and not white/pink and had flavor. I can't even begin to count how disappointing tomatoes almost always are in restaurants and super markets. I tend to buy mine from farmers markets or grow my own in pots. The fries were as good as I remember. Overall, we were satisfied with our meals, the leftover sandwiches were good the next day. We just heated the meat up a little then put them back together. The buns held up well and didn't get soggy or fall apart in the fridge overnight. We did let them cool to room temp before putting them in the fridge though to minimize condensation inside the containers. Overall good burgers, good curly fries and really strong Mountain Dew. We did go in between meal times, on purpose, too late to catch left over old fries and too early to catch anything that might be made in bulk for the dinner rush. We always seem to get better food at most places when caught at odd times. Not sure about here, it may all be made to order. I just dont take chances anymore as the places we are used to in Stillwater are terrible about making stuff in bulk and...
Read moreI'm giving the atmosphere a 5 even though I'm not sure what it's like on the inside or if there is one. I remember thinking it was cool when we went through the drive through.
Anyway I have 0 complaints on the food other than the prices. It was like $13 for a single patty burger the way I remember it without fries and drink. They Have It's Prices As If It Was A FANCY BURGER JOINT, and it's FAR and I do mean ffffaaaarrrr FROM THAT, it's Admiral and Memorial (SLUMS).
I do have to say, THEY DIDN'T USE CHEAP BEEF because it tasted like a good quality product with 0% tendon and gristle. I'm a person who CHEWS MY FOOD, maybe a little bit to much and I can't do tendons or gristle. I have to spit it out. We had Fries and Cokes as well. The fries needed 2 or 3 minutes more in the Deep Fryer but SALTED TO PERFECTION. I know it's bad for me and I don't care, I'm going to enjoy my food.
P.S. I believe it was around $30 & for my cheap butt, that is almost sit down restaurant money. For $5-$10 more it's Logans Steaks. I'm keeping...
Read moreOrdered a double cheeseburger meal with everything on it, a number 1 with cheese, no mayo or tomato, and a 3 PC chicken strip meal. First they didn't give us the number 1 meal. Had to back up to the window and they asked for my receipt! I never even left the line. I started pulling off and notice my meal wasnt there. Then we get home and the double cheeseburger that was supposed to have everything on it was nothing but meat and cheese. The fries were cold as well on all the meals and they only gave LITERALLY 5 fries with the chicken strips. On the counter, there was a bottle with something dark in it dripping all over the counter and not just from the nozzle. There were 2 bottles of bbq sauce on the floor. The server picked something off the floor and proceeded to prepare the order of the car behind us without washing her hands. I tried calling them about our order and no one ever answered the phone (I tried for 10 mins) By FAR, this was the WORST experience at burger...
