I’ve let this slide twice and I can’t do it again. We love Cava and always get wonderful service at 61 and Yale. We tried the brookside location and it’s mind boggling how rude and sloppy the Peoria location is. We went in and the entire crew was beyond rude and gave portions that make chipotle look generous. I was given a disgusted look and told I can pay more when a qtr spoon of rice was given to me. My wife was spoken to very rudely as well by another person helping when all she did was ask a question. I asked for the dressing on the side and of course it wasn’t in the bag when I got home. We have been to the Yale location and had wonderful service since but we used DoorDash this time and it told us that we were going to be using the Peoria location. I knew something would be wrong and of course there was no dressing on either of the orders we paid for. I drove to the brookside Cava location and told the guy at the register that I had to do so because there was none in the order. No apologies whatsoever or any care in the slightest. I had to almost demand to get 2 small containers just to make sure I didn’t have to drive there AGAIN. The thought to make this right didn’t even cross this rude man’s brain and I wasn’t going to make a scene in front of a packed restaurant so here I am. STEER CLEAR OF THE PEORIA CAVA. Read moreI had the most unpleasant experience at CAVA today, and I feel compelled to share the details so others can be aware. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that customer service is not a priority at this location.
The staff member who served me was unbelievably rude. She barely acknowledged my presence and acted like I was a burden rather than a paying customer. Her tone was curt, and she seemed completely uninterested in helping me choose from the menu, which was especially frustrating since it was my first time there. I politely asked a few questions about the options, but she responded with short, snappy answers as if I was wasting her time.
To make matters worse, she rolled her eyes when I asked if an ingredient could be left off my order. The attitude she displayed was not just unprofessional, it was downright disrespectful.
The food itself was lackluster and definitely not worth the poor service. But the most disappointing part of this visit was the sheer rudeness I encountered. It’s one thing to have a bad meal, but the way I was treated by the staff made the entire experience unbearable.
I won’t be returning to CAVA, and I would advise anyone considering it to think twice. There are plenty of other places where customers are treated with respect and the food is actually enjoyable. CAVA, you’ve lost a customer for good.

Read morePlaced an online pick up order that took 30 minutes longer than suggested to complete. My pita chips were missing and thankfully I noticed before leaving. Upon arriving at home I sat down and mixed my bowl only to realize there were not any lamb meatballs. Ok no big deal until I took a bite. My rice was so under cooked that it crunched as I tried to chew it. So now I had to go back because after trying to call the store twice I received a message stating they were unable to take calls at this time. The manager on shift was also the cook. When I explained that the meatballs were missing and the rice was still hard his response was no I know for a fact I put the meatballs on there. I explained that they were not my problem but rather the under cooked rice was the issue. He then stated that he felt I ate them because I mixed my bowl together before eating. He snatched the bag off of the counter and said it’s cool whatever I will remake it for you. I told him that there was no need to remake it rather receive a refund. He said I would have to go through online support. Not a problem. I stood there, filed my refund request, and told him that it is unfortunate that he chose to react this way because you never know who you are dealing with.
