My fiance purchased my engagement ring from an online retailer that I won't name. The stone kept coming loose, and I was absolutely heartbroken. The retailer "repaired" it, but the ring still wasn't right. As an act of desperation I called J. David, and Nate was the one who picked up the phone. He suggested that I bring the ring in so he could look at it, and I immediately headed his way. Nate was so knowledgeable about my ring, and he was able to talk me through the logistics of working on my metal and stone, just from taking a look at it (I didn't know what metal it was!) He was so clearly an expert on the subject. He took my ring to the back, and came out with the stone perfectly in place. He was able to explain how to online retailer had not set the prongs correctly, and he was able to adjust them quickly (for free!!!!!!!!) I will 100% be coming back to J. Before coming to J. David’s, I went to Moody’s Jewelry, and unfortunately, it was a completely different experience. The employee at Moody’s told me to come back in a month, as if they didn’t want to help me, and their attitude felt rude and condescending. When my fiancé asked if we could get ring sizes, the employee responded, ‘A ring size? I don’t see a ring on that finger—do you mean your finger size?’ It felt unnecessarily snarky and disrespectful, which was disappointing for such a special occasion.
