We came out tonight on our way home we figured we’d grab some jack in the box. We order the same thing at the same location (this one) every time we go to jack in the box. I get a #3 plain, and my wife will usually get the sauced and loaded wedges, she then always asks if they’ll substitute the wedges for curly fries. We’ve never had a problem with this location before, but tonight we order(the same order) and when we arrive at the window we hand over our card and when she hands back the receipt the receipt states that they added the loaded wedges as a replacement for the fries on my order instead of a separate item. We let them know that it was incorrect and the employee reluctantly listened as we explained again how my wife wanted the sauces and loaded wedges but wanted the wedges substituted for curly fries. She closed the window, clicked a few buttons, opened it, and told us that it’d be $3.57. She charges us and hands us a receipt. She closes the window and we wait.
Two other employees(Gabby and C-C) who both stated they are managers came to the window to inform us that they could not make the item my wife ordered. They said they weren’t allowed to. We went back and forth trying to “Come to a solution” before asking for a refund.
The kicker isn’t the mess up, we can live without the loaded fries lol. The kicker is the absolute rudeness we faced from a barrage of employees seemingly fighting to stick their head through the drive through window to put a word into the “debate.” We aren’t upset we can’t have the item, we’re upset that we can’t have the item AFTER we were charged for it as anyone would be.
After the rude comments and disrespectful tone from mostly Gabby, we asked for a refund. They asked for our receipts and the card, we handed them over and they walked across to the front registers of the store still in sight as C-C made physical gestures of annoyance.
After a few minutes waiting for them to refund us, they came to the window once again and asked us to pull forward to which I replied “No, Thank you” as we weren’t comfortable pulling away while someone we don’t know has our debit card?
The employee looked defeated and I understand that it can be frustrating. She looked back to the car behind us and asked if she could pull up, she couldn’t as there was a curb preventing her from doing so. The patron behind us reacted poorly as she had been waiting behind us during this entire exchange. She said something along the lines of “this is Fing ridiculous” and “I’ll just come to the window” she then walked to the window and gave them her card while on of the so called “Managers” who had yet to refund us told the employee to offer her a free shake or cheesecake. They other patron denied it and then said “it’s not your fault, whatever their whining about” referring to us of course… waiting for our refund still. The employee once again offers her a cheesecake or shake.
TLDR, Rude Employees charge us for food and then say they aren’t allowed to make it, argument ensues, refund requested, unknowing patron sides with employees without knowledge of situation, employees offer her free food while she stand outside in the drive through between our car and the window.
If you can’t work with people you may not want to continue in the service industry. I hope the employees who spoke to me as if I were less than them find a way to better their poor attitudes.
Also note for the general manager or whoever is in charge of this location, this is the 5th google review you’ve received in the last 30 days saying your employees are rude. Might be time to have a...
Read morePower was out all over town from a massive gust front, and there were precious few places with electricity. We were hungry for cooked food and drove all over looking for a place that had power. Jack in the Box had power, and we had heard from others that it had variety as well. So we gave it a try.
I was afraid it would be crowded, but it was just very busy. We were greeted with a smile and pleasant order taker at the counter. Amidst the chayos around the city, this was a nice pleasantry. They only had one machine/dispenser for ice and all manner of drink, so there was a line. I got a large drink, and I could feel the impatience of the others behind me when it came to my turn. The ice dispenser part of the dispenser was grinding away for a while as it was almost out of ice. I hastily chose my drink. I think that was a mistake. There are a gazillion flavors to choose from, and my rush to receipt gave me a drink on par with water.
The food was ready shortly after we got a seat. It was a little tray/basket for each person, so it required many hands to bring to the table. My recent shoulder surgery made this a challenge, but the challenge was accepted.
At the table, we ate our food and it was actually very very good. It was cooked and well prepared. The presentation was nice and it was quite impressive, even. If it wasn't the first cooked food we had in a while because of the blackout. It was quite nice and refreshing. On average, this was a very good choice. In retrospect, I think it was the best choice. As we headed back through the dark traffic lights into the blacked out neighborhoods, we felt extremely good of our experience. I think it needs to be added to our list of regular places. So, I will be going back when the power is back on everywhere to compare...
Read moreThis location has a lot of issues. From rude staff to a broken phone to down right ridiculous errors on orders, this restaurant either needs to be completely re-staffed or go through some major training on how to do their job. Tonight really took the cake. I placed a mobile order containing the classic sauced and loaded waffle fries for myself and some food for my husband and friend. First off, I checked the burgers to make sure they were correct, as they were modified. Thankfully, the burgers were perfect. However, each of the regular sized curly fries were about half full, as shown in the first photo. Second, my requested sauces were missing. I pulled back through the drive thru to request my sauces and ask if it was possible to get more fries. The worker gave me my sauces and then went to drop a new basket of fries. He didn’t communicate that he had to make new fries, otherwise I wouldn’t have asked. Our food was already a bit cold by then so I didn’t think to check my fries. By the time I got home with our food, I finally opened my fries (which are supposed to contain ranch, cheese sauce, and bacon bits) only to find a pile of completely plain (and ice cold) waffle fries, as shown in the second photo. I get that stuff happens. Everyone has off days. However, it seems like every time we come to this location, something goes wrong. I wanted to give them chances, as it’s the closest Jack in the Box to me but this sealed the deal. I’ll start going to a...
