Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Tulsa

*UPDATE: Corporate contacted me and asked me to come back out. It was AMAZING! Today was what Texas Roadhouse is known for! I don't give 5's very easily and I keep emotions out of my reviews and just state the facts and today everything food atmosphere and service deserves a five. The server knew prices and made suggestions. The food was served in a timely manner and was extremely delicious. The manager even came over and asked how things were going It was a great day.

Thursday night 6:30 p.m. extremely crowded walked in the bar got seated immediately. I ranked a two on service because the waitress did not know the price of drinks when I asked her if she could please check on a couple of the wines (I know they have a huge markup but I was not going to pay every ridiculously stupid amount for a low end red) two times she forgot when she came back for the order quoted 6 to $10 so I said just give me a $6 red and give me the Texas size (which is 4 oz more for $3) My partner ordered the Dallas filet and I got the ribeye medium rare The food was decent the steak was half medium and parts of it was medium rare very uneven but the flavor was good. The waitress asked how things were we said fine never asked us if we would like anything else to drink, or for dessert just brought our ticket we weren't even halfway finished with our meal so I guess she decided that for us. If you're reading this you already know about Texas Roadhouse so nothing is probably going to change your mind about going here. The restaurant was the same as it always is food is decent But the steak was definitely not cooked evenly. Receiving the check the waitress had given us a $10 glass of wine instead of the requested $6 sure it's only four bucks * 2 $8 more and yes it's Texas Roadhouse and not McDonald's but she was asked to get a $6 not a $10. Yes that sounds picky but there's a bad taste in your mouth when someone is purposely charging more. I went ahead and tipped 25% as I usually do. I would think the management would train the staff a little better on prices but maybe this is how they train them so they can always have a higher ticket in the end. I will go back it's Texas Roadhouse nothing special...

2/24/2024 So here is another amazing trip, me and the boyfriend went today and Keenen was the server and his manager Chelsea (may not have spelled it right) we're amazing. He came took the drink order, then got the appetizer and brought mroe bread. The best part is he took his time between the appetizer and the main meal so we would not be rushed. He ensured our drinks were always full without ever asking if we needed one. His manager brought me extra fries cause she thought the amount I got on my plate was a little skimpy. Then Keenen offered to get the bf a new baked potato cause he did not want sour cream, and it came with it. All I can say is they both made it an amazing experience, and I hope they get props from thsi post. They are the reason liek the previous ones why we will go back, there is other texas roads houses here in Tusla, bit if you want amazing ztaff it is this one.

3 months ago Me and the boyfriend just left there about 30 minutes ago and will say the server Katie was a doll. Absolutely sweet, about her job and made us feel like she had been our best friend for a long time. She laughed and joked with us while taking our orders, never pressured us to hurry or do anything.. simply a great waitress. When the food was delivered one of the managers named Chelsea brought it out and asked my boyfriend to please cut into it to ensure it was cooked right, he cut into it and she thought it was rarer than it should be and offered to have it redone. He was happy with it and she made sure we knew her name and if he decided it was not right to let her know and she would ensure it was how he liked. Super nice staff and all about the customer experience. Would come back to this one over all the others I have been...

So, been an avid fan of this Texas Roadhouse since moving to Bixby. Went at least once every 7-10 days and usually never had a bad experience but last 2 times we've left very disappointed. Of course they're always busy and we understand that, but the last 2 times we've had terrible experiences with our streaks. The first time we had issues was on 2 orders of their Dallas filets. We both ordered our streaks medium, wife's came out rare, mine over cooked. No problem, they went to work cooking us new ones supposedly. Wife's original steak came back out and now over cooked and mine now came out raw. Wife opted to keep her's not wanting to wait any longer. They remade mine and on 3rd try got it right. They comped mine for the wait.

Took some time off from there but went back 12/23... ordered same steaks, wife ordered a loaded sweet potato with hers. Streaks come out, ask us to cut into them and in the cut appeared good thinking that if they just came off the grill, they'll cook just a bit longer to perfection. When the wife went in for her sweet potato though, it was cold. Didn't even melt the butter. Server offered to get a new one. We both started on our streaks and both were cold as well. Wife's didn't cook sitting there anymore because it was cold so it was basically medium rare, mine was close enough to medium but based on previous experience, opted to eat it rather than go through that whole ordeal again. Wife took hers home to nuke the next day (yuk).

Moral of the story, check your streaks and food for temp and doneness before your server walks off. We'll likely stay away for a bit and hope...
