I'm a big fan of this restaurant chain, I was going to la Madeleine when it was still on Cherry Street, I decided to take my mom for lunch one day after we got done at a hike at Turkey mountain, the food was refreshing and delicious as always, the girl who took our order was nice I honestly don't remember her name I don't think anyone was wearing name tags and no one ever told me their name, the girl who was preparing the stuff at the hot bar like soup and other hot and ready items was curt and seems like she wanted to be anywhere else but there heavy on the attitude and eye rolling... I stood there at the soup counter staring at my tomato bisque, already prepared and sitting in a ramekin waiting for my sandwich so I didn't ask for my soup even though I saw it there, a woman behind me who looked like she might have been a manager or something was in a meeting with an older gentleman and asked me if there was anything I needed, I politely told her that I was still waiting on my soup and sandwich, she went back to her conversation and I stood there for another 5 minutes and then she prompted me again and asked me what I was standing there waiting on and I reminded her my soup and sandwich and she asked the girl who was heavy on the attitude to give me my soup and then told me my sandwich would be a few more minutes, I was confused because normally the half sandwich and soup are serve together, as for me personally I really like dipping my sandwich in my soup so I couldn't eat the two separately, and by the time my sandwich had been delivered my soup was lukewarm/ room temp... It wasn't my most favorite experience with la Madeleine but I know them to be an exceptional company with exceptional food so I'm just counting this as a one-off. As for the atmosphere in my opinion the location on Cherry Street had the atmosphere nailed, and the service of an all day French cafe, but as we all have to sever now without that location, the one in Tulsa hills is the only one we have access to, and I feel like they still have a lot of work to do on the atmosphere and the vibe that the people who work...

I have nothing against them. But they changed their sandwich bread. And that's wast favorite thing about la madeline. I won't be going as much anymore :(

Edit- I went back consistently because I do love them. But last night I decided to order or doordash, (it was about 45 mins to close which was my mistake) When the dasher arrived they stated that they didn't have anything from my order and told the dasher to have me cancel the order from my end. IF you cancel the order after the dasher has already gotten to the restraunt, it gives the restraunt the full total, and takes away the dashers tip which is absolutely not okay due to the fact that she drove all the way out there. I told her this and told her to tell them to cancel from their end, and they argued with this poor girl for nearly 20 minutes!!!! She was brand new to doordashing and called me crying after. Not only did they traumatize a doordsasher but they lied (I called an hour before and asked if they had the sandwich I was ordering because of the bread) and tried to take money for an order they had no intention of preparing!!! I understand that it was somewhat close to closing, we've all been there, but the behavior was...

Food was TREMENDOUS!!😊 Food was very much overpriced for the size of portions 😔 Had the new bean soup (1 cup measured exactly), 1/2 slice of quiche and a slice of the fabulous creamy coconut cake = $19.00 Wow!!! The only reason not to return is the social ambiance noted behind the counter "serving" the food. There were Persons behind the counter that seem to not work there and and made me think a lot about the cleanliness and germs being passed around. There was one gentleman speaking to a waitress standing with her back to the counter, and he was there in an unofficial capacity with a backpack on standing between the food display cabinets and where she was standing. Seeing that food was chosen and served from that area his position looked Totally out of place. I almost asked for a manager to see if his being in that area was allowed... however, simply left and pondered what's saw. Very nice service, however, ill- mannered as the waitress brought the commercial box of clear saran wrap out to my table to wrap the uneaten quiche l decided to take w...

Food was great, the fireplace is nice....staff is friendly (perhaps a little too relaxed) as we sit to enjoy our warmth and food, a staff member tiptoes over to place her wet shoes and socks by the crackling fire to dry. Okay, couldn't let this one slide...especially since she came back at least 3 times to check if they were dry which means she pranced around the place BAREFOOT! Soooooo - brought this to the attention of the manager when she came by doing her rounds...what suprised me was the fact the manager appeared lost with our response of how this was inappropriate and a health code violation...she asked which employee and I said "the one you were talking to behind the counter." Needless to say, I wonder what goes on when it's not so obvious. This is a shame since it was only our 2nd time here and the family doesn't want to go back...what a shame that this happened. I had to add the picture because it's almost impossible to believe!

Delicious pastry, homey and rustic atmosphere. For lunch I tried what seemed like an inside out shepherds pie and it was good(sorry, forgot to take a pic as I was stuffing my face with it 😉). There's a line for take away and one for dining in but the signs are above your head so there was a bit of confusion. Other than that, my lunch was good and the pastries, especially, were tasty. My friend had a breakfast quiche, but we weren't very impressed with the crust(which I believe makes or breaks a quiche) as it was a thicker, harder (yes I said it😁) pie crust. Le Louvre on 81st and Memorial has a much better crust on their quiches imo. You pick your own seat and we didn't wait more than 20 min to get our food. Bonus! I loved hearing the French music in the background💖.

We were not acknowledged at the front counter for a while even when we were next in line which was kind of weird and seemed a bit rude. I ordered a chocolate tart and an iced mocha latte. The tart was obviously old but (you can see in the photo) tasted ok still, the drink was overfilled and when I put the straw in the drink it overflowed and spilled on the top of the lid and down the sides of the cup. No love here. The French theme is cute, good place to take your kids and let them get sticky :P. . . I think with the proper training and better management this place could be nice. One star for a passable latte and One star for a clean restroom.
