It was our first time trying this place. We moved to the area about 18 months ago and are slowly working our way through all the local places. This is one that is not worth a second visit. First, the good: It was Thursday, about 6 PM. There was no wait for a table. We seated quickly and greeted by our server. Another server brought bread and a small dish of veggies (just carrots, celery, etc)... Nice touch. The wine list is good and by-the-glass prices were what we expect. The oysters were very good. I cannot remember the name, but they were broiled with bacon, cheese, and way more butter than we should consume. Very tasty! Unfortunately, that is the extent of what we liked. I ordered the bone-in ribeye, medium rare. It was a little overcooked. I scooped the butter on my baked potato, and it just sat there. The potato was cold. Soup and salad are included with the entree. The salad was good. The two soup choices were both tomato-based soups. It would have been great to have a different choice, as I do not eat tomato-based soups. Minestrone and tomato basil soups are too similar and do not offer much choice. Hubby had soup and salad, which he said was fine, not anything note-worthy, though. The absolute worse thing about this restaurant is the noise level. There were two tables of 6 people and two or three tables of 2, so it was not at all crowded. The noise level was ridiculously loud! My husband and I had to speak loudly, just to have a conversation. The high ceiling, poor acoustics? I am not sure why it was so darn loud, but we could not have a normal conversation. To sum it all up, given that we spent $90 for a dinner for 2, there are just so many better options in this area. This place is fine. Not special. It is a solid 3 stars, making it "average". It would be 2 stars if not for the kind and...
Read moreWe always dine here for dinner and enjoy a delicious meal. The chocolate martinis are the best, dinner steaks with loaded bake potatoe. Is the best in town. We brought our out of town guests for lunch this time. From the salad, the rib eye steak and fries to the cream brûlée cheesecake and bread pudding for dessert we weren’t disappointed. My friend had the calamari sandwich which was tender and prepared perfectly! I don’t order steak anywhere else. Service was attentive and a pleasant experience overall! Update may 2023. We dined here for dinner tonight. We both ordered the 9 oz ribeye, my husband had rice, I had baked potato. Let me say the chef tonight was excellent in preparing the seasoned steak, one with added mushrooms the other with added grilled onions, the salad with blue cheese crumbles and the dressing on the side, the grilled shrimp appetizer with the tasty rice were all so delicious we commented on them all night. The dirty Bloody Mary cocktail was excellent with just the right amount of heat. Please give compliments to the chef on Friday night before Mother’s Day! Had rack of lamb tonight and it was tender and...
