Mariachis Mexican Restaurant and Cantina — Restaurant in Turlock

My family and I visit often. They know us when we come in as well as our usual orders. They pay attention to detail and know our usual order adjustments. Tonight I wanted something different but nothing was speaking to me. I love their Jalapeno Shrimp with that creamy jalapeno sauce they use. I asked if they could give me an order of taquitos with the same jalapeno cream sauce on top. They made it happen and it was absolutely perfect. Salsa is on point every time. I've yet to have a disappointing meal from this restaurant and I don't foresee myself ever having one. It's hard to find a place that will make what you want in your mind happen on the plate despite the fact that it's not on the menu. Go there, try this, and you won't be disappointed!

Place is under new ownership. Food is not up to par and not to the same quality as it was under the previous owners. Was such a let down. Service was slow and unattentive and there were only one other family in the establishment. If you're under new ownership and management and the inside of your restaurant is dead the least you can do is be hyper aware of your customers and their needs. Wow 😲 This place is more then a Mexican restaurant. It’s like going to a family members home 🏡 that is extremely welcoming. I no longer live in Turlock but it’s not only my go to place but everyone in my family. I can’t imagine anyone calling this place disgusting unless it was from another business knowing that this place takes the cake 🎂 and it’s for being the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. The chipotle sauce is a must I get it with my chips and I get the fajita roll and add it on here. Brought my friend here last time from Modesto and she’s now has a new favorite place. She gets the chicken melanaise. My husband loves the shrimp 🍤 and steak there coconut 🌴 shrimp is to die for. Honestly I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. It’s not just good it’s awesome 😎 if you don’t believe me skip your favorite Mexican restaurant and give it a shot. They have margaritas special but not sure when they are. I recently was back in town and had to get my fill up!! If your there tell Beto and his wife Mary tell them Trisha sent you!!! Promise you!! My mother likes chilli rellenos, this is the place she picked for me to take her on her birthday. I, however, don't care so much for Mexican food. I shamelessly ordered a cheeseburger from the kids menu. It was a better burger than I generally get at a Mexican restaurant. I'd say it tasted more like a regular burger than a Mexican restaurant burger. I may get adventurous & try their tacos sometime. Aside from the food being good, service was...well, our party of 3 was all the customers while we were there. The waitress could've popped by for refills a bit more frequently, but she was doing great in every other respect. It may seem backwards, but I think we'd have had more attention if it was busier, just from the waitress passing by more often.

Anyway, I'm told it's good Mexican food. I have no complaints though I don't eat much authentic Mexican food. Service was pleasant though understandably somewhat infrequent with so few customers (late lunch/early dinner weekday). Good for casual dining....
