Exceptional Dining Experience – A New Favorite!
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Table 26 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. For quite some time, this restaurant had been highly recommended by numerous friends and family members. Although we live about 40 minutes away, we finally made the trip to Turlock—and it was well worth it. We arrived for our 7:30 PM reservation to find the restaurant bustling with activity. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. Understanding how busy the restaurant was, we patiently waited for a server to offer drinks or appetizers. After noticing that guests who arrived after us were already being served, we began to feel overlooked. At that point, a kind and attentive team member named Sherryl noticed our situation and immediately stopped to check in with us. After explaining that we hadn’t yet been helped, she discovered there had been a technical issue with the system that left our table without a designated server. Sherryl was incredibly empathetic—especially after learning we were celebrating a special occasion—and went above and beyond to turn our evening around. She took the time to personally guide us through the menu, offering thoughtful and spot-on recommendations for cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. Her attention to detail and genuine care transformed our experience into something truly memorable. We started with the mango mojito and sangria, both of which were refreshing and flavorful. For our appetizer, we had the large Gamberetto Scapette, which was so delicious and filling that we weren’t sure we’d have room for our main courses. I had the ribeye steak, perfectly seasoned and cooked to order—it was outstanding. My wife chose the shrimp scampi, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We also shared a side of mac and cheese, based on rave reviews we had heard, and it exceeded expectations—rich, creamy, and generously portioned. Though we were quite full, we couldn’t resist dessert and tried the crème brûlée cheesecake, which was a delightful way to end the meal. Throughout dinner, Sherryl remained attentive and gracious. Toward the end of the evening, she introduced us to one of the owners, who was warm, friendly, and appreciative of the feedback. Mistakes happen, especially in busy environments, but the way Sherryl and the team handled the situation exemplifies true hospitality and customer care. Thanks to Sherryl’s exceptional service and the outstanding food, Table 26 has gained two loyal customers. We’re already looking forward to returning with our children and will enthusiastically recommend this restaurant to others. Highly...
Read moreI was so excited to eat here for New Year’s Eve. I have been here on several occasions before and had an awesome experience. However, yesterday’s visit was a completely different story. I do want to mention that the bus boy Jose was such a hard worker and was very attentive. If it was not for him this would be a one star. I think the waitress forgot we were there, the restaurant was not very busy we got there at 7:00 ordered drink which took about 20+ mins to get and they did not have some items that they needed to make a drink, so I asked for a substitute. She did not check with me prior to deciding to change the drink herself. I Ordered, I wanted a medium rare steak, the waitress explained that it would be really pink and so I changed the order to medium. I got the steak well done, mashed potatoes cold and green beans bland. I told the waitress my complaint and she did offer to remake it, but come on we had already waited over an hour to get our food. I was not about to wait another 40 mins.. no thank you! They did expailn that they cannot waive the food it’s policy..although that’s not what I wanted.. I just feel that you should get what you pay for..needless to say I will no longer travel to this restaurant anymore.. my experience completely changed my impression of this place. Oh and btw the restrooms were dirty and no toilet paper or seat covers. Someone needs...
Read moreDisappointing. We were excited to try table 26 again since the change in ownership. Husband and I decided to come here for our rare date night. Server seemed eager to help but after the food was brought out we didn’t see him again. By the time he came back to us he asked if he could get me a take home box for my plate which had my entire steak on it.(the Ribeye) I told him no, in fact the steak was extremely tough with strange hard spots throughout and was over cooked despite ordering it medium rare. He looked at me for a second, said sorry, and then proceeded to take my plate. He returned quickly with our check and said nothing more. I understand that this can happen from time to time but due to the fact that he never came back to check, we paid for a $42 plate in which I couldn’t consume the meat. There was no way to even fix the situation during since we never saw him until he wanted to box my food and he didn’t attempt or even offer to fix my meal. Even my empty glass stayed on the corner of the table through the duration of the meal. For the two of us the meal was $100 of which half my meal...
