Sunshine Donuts — Restaurant in Turlock

Attempted to call them multiple times to see if they had their mochi donuts in stock as I live roughly 30 minutes away. I get that places can get busy but on the last call attempt, they declined the call then text me saying that they missed my call, mind you, they texted immediately after. They said yes, they had some in stock so I went ahead and drove to their location. They're advertised as "Lam I Am Mochi Donuts" but in reality it's Sunshine Donuts so to the normal consumer it's a pain to find if you're not paying attention. You may have guessed from the 1 star rating, but yes, they in fact had NO mochi donuts in stock. And to make matters worse, they tried to sell me regular Donuts instead, like no bro, I want my MOCHI. I could've went to Krispy Kreme if I wanted a normal donut. All in all, bad experience. My day ruined, my stomach empty and my taste buds...

I don’t usually purchase donuts as my experience with them is that they are usually greasy and leave an unpleasant taste in my mouth when I eat them. Upon a craving for a donut I stopped in here. I was pleasantly surprised at the donut case variety, the size of the donuts, and there wasnt a greasy frying smell when I walked in. I intended to purchase 2 donuts, however I couldn’t resist after looking at all of the donuts so I ended up walking out with a dozen. I wasn’t disappointed as they were delicious and the next day they were just as fresh as the first day that they were made because I put them in Ziploc bags. This was our first time getting donuts here. We normally stick to our favorites but wanted to branch out. We were there around 2pm so there weren’t a lot to choose. We ended up with a chocolate, a maple and a glazed old fashioned. A crumb, a strawberry sprinkle, and a blueberry. Every single one was delicious and dare I say moist. I dislike using that word but it’s what they were. I’m going to go ahead and say this is tied with our favorite donut shop for the best donuts in the 209, in our opinion.
