Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in Turlock

I have ordered from this restaurant several times in the past, but today will be my last. Allow me to elaborate.

Today I went to pick up 2 large pizzas. Immediately as I walked in I was confronted, not greeted, confronted by an elderly lady who I later learned her name to be Lucy. She did not say hello, she screamed from the counter as customers are standing right in front of her “ you need to put on a mask”. Now my mask beliefs maybe very different from others, given the fact I have a severe medical condition preventing me from wearing one. What seemed to be at the top of her lungs she continued to yell at me at tell me to stand outside and someone will come assist me. As I stood there, I counted 7 other paying customers on the restaurant not wearing masks. Three of which were within 10 feet of her on the other side of the counter near the salad bar area. This act was extremely unprofessional, and as I stood there not wanting to make a scene and as the crew members and many other customers watched, I walked outside and waited. Eventually about 10 minutes later I received my food and left.

I do not understand why Lucy choose to single me out of all people. I do not understand or appreciate the condescending tone that she used towards me. This feels like blatant discrimination.

I feel that Lucy could very much use some communication training when it comes to customer interactions. An employee like this will only hinder the growth and reputation of a business. I highly recommend that the general manager take a look into this matter as well possibly all of Lucy’s interactions...

First ... I love their pizza. Round Table in general gets a solid 5 rating from me on their pizza. I've never had a Round Table pizza anywhere that was less than scrumptious. However this particular Round Table lacked tremendously in customer service. We went in to celebrate a birthday. We did no make reservations. However they accommodated us by allowing us to use their party room in the back. It was over 80 degrees in that room with no venting or airflow. We asked if we could open a side door for ventilation and the counter person allowed us to do so. That lasted about 5 minutes. They came and shut the door citing orders from their manager but said they would turn on the a/c for us. Over a period of approximately 45 minutes we asked at least 6 or 7 more times that they turn on the a/c. They never did. We sweltered in that room for about an hour. Cut the celebration short and left. We had spent over $200 on pizza, salad bars, and drinks and they wouldn't even turn on the a/c for us while we were there. We were all sweaty and miserable when we left. So much for the celebration. Not even good food can make that a pleasant experience. I gave the place a 3 rating only because the food was good and the servers tried to help us out. It was the manager that made this a miserable experience. I give him/her a 0. Never met the manager. He or she never came out of the back office to even try and accommodate us and make us...

My family and only order from Round Table because we totally trust they are taking precautions that i don't see in other pizza places, taking so much precaution as Round Table does. Its the best pizza in town. Staff is nice and for those people that complain over small issues. Keep in mind that is silly because they gave you the wrong soda or you had to wait longer, Waiting longer means they are busy that should tell you they are doing great by having many customers. Main focus here is that Round Table is taking so many precautions in keeping it safe for all customer and pizza is the best. I always call in advance and they tell me approx how long it will take .I always got my food on time and they bring it to curb side,so for those people that complain over small things its ridiculous.First priority should be are they going that extra mile for safety during the virus.YES!
