MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Turlock

EDIT: They've greatly improved since the first time we went. I can definitely tell they put their heart and soul into their pizza now. Where as when we first went, it tasted off, now I can't get enough! I'm a forever customer now. ❤

Saw the "now open" sign and had to try it. My friend and I were ecstatic to try this pizza and hoping to fall in love with it. First of all, the place looks really clean and nice. The decor is very modern which is something we both liked. The place was a bit busy which is nothing to complain about because it only opened 3 days ago. The only thing I can comment about the function of the kitchen is it seemed a bit unorganized. We noticed the same girl who took our order was also the same girl who packed our pizza into to go boxes. Again this could be because it was just really busy, and it seemed like a pizza was coming out of the oven every couple of minutes. When it comes to taste, the pizza wasn't our favorite. They were not bad pizzas, but they weren't amazing either. We ordered a Dillon James (Margherita), a Mad Dog (meat lovers), and a cheese bread. Some of the ingredients seemed fresh while other aspects seemed inauthentic. The crust tasted off, but the sauce was fresh. The tomatoes seemed fresh but the basil seemed store bought. I can't pinpoint it, but it all just seemed kind of off. The cheese bread we didn't like at all. The rosemary grossly overpowered the cheese and made it sweet. We definitely wanna try mod pizza again, but maybe in the future when they find a flow and have perfected their pallet. Since they are brand new, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt, and hoping they can perfect...

UPDATE: Not only is Mod's Pizza incredible, but I've recently discovered the "Create Your Own" salad as well. I order them via Door Dash several times a week. You design and pick what you want on the salad with a huge variety of fresh and roasted vegetables to choose from and several meat and other items you can add. Portions and toppings are very generous and a great value in my book. I've not been to this place in person yet, but have probably ordered from them (almost all salads) at least ten times. Product is consistent, packaged properly and very fresh. I'm a huge fan. First time ordering from them and felt compelled to immediately write a review, it's that good. We live on the far side of town so ordered via Door Dash. I now understand why they have such good reviews. Pizza was amazing and they are very generous with toppings. They let you build your own with a million different toppings, sauces, cheeses and so forth. One of their regular sized pizzas is definitely two meals for me making this a heck of a value too. Will definitely order from them again. I'd vote for them for best...

I love the convenient and fast online ordering service, and the fact that it saves my favorite pizza so I don't have to redo all the options every time. The staff there is quick, friendly, efficient, and seem very experienced. They make every pizza perfectly. Absolutely delicious food, and the house made berry drink is very tasty too. Literally the best pizza I've ever had in my life. I also love that they offer gluten free crust for those like my sister with special dietary needs, and the delicious cauliflower crust alternative as well, for those like myself that don't eat a lot of bread. I absolutely love all the topping options they offer at no extra charge, since I like my pizza loaded with lots of herbs and vegetables. It's definitely worth the drive from my place over to Turlock, and I've told all my coworkers about it. If you haven't tried them out, you absolutely should, they...
