This is an interesting place for which I would like to know the history. I ate here at lunch on a Tuesday. Came in right at noon. It was largely empty, though I couldn’t see the bar. I was seated quickly but did not get any service for several minutes. Service was strangely slow but not unpleasant. Chips and salsa were just okay. The decor of Tesoro tells me that the owner has the aim to run a more upscale Mexican restaurant. The prices certainly reflect that. But the lack of customers along with prices on the higher end and slow service tell me that this restaurant needs more than pretty design features. Then the food came. Outstanding enchilada. Some of the best refried beans I’ve ever had. I usually skip my Mexican rice, but I ate most of it on my plate. If the owner can get the pricing and the service right, their food can carry the show. Curious to know more about this restaurant’s history and aims. Hope they make it!

Pretty good experience. The customer service was excellent and the food was delicious. I ordered the steak fajitas and the steak was a little tough, but was well seasoned. Our party also ordered a shrimp burrito with Chipotle sauce. The burrito was absolutely delicious. However, if your waitress says "we can put Chipotle, red sauce, green sauce, diablo sauce etc, be prepared to pay extra. I thought it was a sneaky was to pad the bill. I'm not saying it wasn't worth it, but the additional $2.75 charge (for sauce on a burrito.... that was already stated on the menu at a different price) should have been mentioned up front as an additional charge. The upcharge on sauce cost more than adding shrimp. Also, the child's plate comes with a drink, but we were also charged extra for that as well. Overall, good food and customer service, just beware of "hidden" charges.

We have dined here many times and always enjoy authentic Mexican food. The service is great, and the new decor is outstanding. I was pleased with the old decor however the patio lounge area and bar area in an adjacent room are now a welcome feature and the ambience is that of a classy restaurant without the outrageous prices. The carne asada and shrimp and supreme quesadillas were very good. We are never dissatisfied! We had Tesoro cater our daughter’s baby shower for 80 people recently. (2025). The. Food was provided in large trays that could be placed on warming trays without transferring to another dish(great for cleanup as the trays were disposable) and provided enough servings for more than the amount of people in attendance. Everyone said the food was delicious. I highly recommend them as a caterer!

The restaurant was very dark and dimly lit. My dad definitely would have busted out the flash light. The music was pretty terrible, it was a lot of bad bunny lol. It definitely didn’t match the whole fine dining vibe. The service was incredibly slow. We were seated and told our server would be right with us, I set a stopwatch and it took 19 minutes for him to come and get only our drink order. Another five minutes to actually get our drinks (two sodas). Then we sat for another fifteen minutes waiting for him to come back and take our order. We had finished our sodas and still hadn’t gotten our order taken. Throughout our dining experience that was a problem. Our glasses were empty more than they were full. They did give us soda cups to go though so at least we got our moneys worth there. So he comes and takes our food order, I set another timer. It took 45 minutes for our food to come out. I ordered albondigas and he ordered a taco salad. At first he brought us the wrong food. We waited another five or so minutes and he came back with the correct food. He forgot my tortillas and brought them shortly after. I didn’t really eat them so I didn’t notice until he came back. The restaurant didn’t look super busy. The guacamole was watery and lacking flavor. Lots of tomatoes in it too. Not a fan, the bagged guac we used to get at el pollo loco was better than this. The taco salad (with chicken) was shredded chicken, dry and tasteless. The beans were on the bottom of the tostada shell and made it soggy. We asked for a side of guac, it came in a 2oz cup (if you don’t know, that is SUPER tiny.) and it costed five dollars. For like a tablespoon of watery guac! The only thing that was good was the albondigas. The broth was flavorful, a little spicy, and scalding hot. Everything was cooked perfectly inside of it and very very soft. The meatballs had flavor and perfect soft texture. It was my first time having it and I was amazed. Next time, I’m only ordering that and...

Worst service I’ve ever received EVER! Don’t recommend at all! First incident: had us wait for 20 min when the girl who checked us in said 2 min wait they just had to clean two tables so we waited, a party of 4 came in she saw that we were still waiting asked us if we didn’t mind sitting in a high table at that point we didn’t mind where we sat as long as we sat down so she pointed to the table and said sit there like okay? We go make our way to that table to see that it’s dirty like really? One of the bartenders sees that we were sent to that table and said “sorry that one’s dirty” and starts cleaning it. We waited another 15 min and since the bartender didn’t see anyone going up to us he kindly asked us if we wanted something to drink so we ordered and asked him if we could get food menus and chips with salsa since we figured the wait for our food would be long since we weren’t being taken care of. If you want good service don’t come here we went by the awesome reviews and stars food was okay but my over all experience wasn’t good at all I’m big on let’s give it a try but we should of just walked out when we waited to get our menus which we had to ask for worst part I think the manager was the girl who pointed us to the dirty table and instead of taking care of her customers she was having side conversations with the employees instead of helping out which she has such a bubbly personality which is why when we walked in I was like wow we are at a good spot she looks very bubbly/friendly which she is but she has to remember she’s working and make sure people who go are being taken care of vs talking about life to the people...

I want to share my latest visit to this restaurant. Hopefully the owner/manager will read this. Before tonight I might have given this restaurant a 5 star rating. Tonight I'm not sure we'll come back. I worked my way through high school and college for seven years in a restaurant. I know the challenges and understand what the kitchen staff face to put out a dish for the customers. Tonight's experience not not good. The waitress and hostess were excellent, unfortunately it took an hour to get our food. Six times the wait staff said our meals were coming right out. We were even offered our check, before we had even been served. When the food finally arrived, my wife's tacos were over cooked, the meat was dry, and everything was NOT hot. My chimichanga was however delicious. The French fries were cold. Why am I waiting an hour for cold fries? A good restaurant should turn a table about every 45 minutes. Get em in, get em seated, get em served, get em out. How many tables did this restaurant loose tonight every hour because of an inefficient cook staff? We weren't the only ones waiting either. The restaurant is loosing tables, revenue, and the wait staff is loosing tips. I hope the management takes notice, because we may not come back because of...
