Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

A few months ago, I submitted a complaint to the Freddie’s website after being harassed by an employee here. Never heard back, so I thought I’d share my experience. After work, I came to Freddie’s around 6-7pm and it started pouring rain with very high winds, and we got a severe thunderstorm warning. Having never been to Freddie’s before, I pulled around to the drive through and looked at the menu for a minute or two. I didn’t open my window due to the severe weather and drove up to the window. I asked the lady if I could order a chocolate malt, and she became very angry and yelled at me “can you explain to me why you didn’t roll down your window when I was trying to take your order”. I apologized and told her I hadn’t been here before and it was raining super hard, so I didn’t want to get soaked. She told me she had been trying to take my order the whole time I was looking at the menu and I apologized because I didn’t know. She continued to be super angry and saying some pretty hateful things and repeating her question, so I just told her that it was okay and I didn’t need the shake and drove away. When I was turning the corner, her and her coworker stood in the window laughing and flipped me off. It really irked me with this terrible service, I used to work at a similar restaurant and would NEVER, EVER act this way or treat my customers so disrespectfully, even when I’d be frustrated at such a minor inconvenience. There was nobody inside or anyone else in like to order. Hopefully she doesn’t work there anymore, but she was pale and had all sorts of piercings and strange makeup. The coworker was a black male. I kept hearing about this place from co-workers and decided to give a shot. It was a game day Saturday and the place was pretty busy. The person who took my order was very polite and friendly. I did have to wait but that was expected as they were rather busy. When I received my order I'm thankful I looked in the bag as there were no fries. I started to say something to the person giving me my order and he realized immediately his mistake. However, I did have to wait an additional 5-7 minutes for them to cook more fries as they were out. As far as the food goes better than McDonald's but not Highway 55 by any means. Instead of steak burger perhaps shredded steak would be more appropriate. I'm not sure the weight of the meat but Highway 55's patties are 5.5 oz and if you get the triple you get 16 oz of burger. I got the triple here and though I didn't measure it I would bet it was a long ways off from 16 oz. Once more the taste was average not great and not bad. Do not eat here at all they will serve there guest old fries and their lobby is the most disgusting place that I’ve have ever been in I hate that Burgerfi isn’t open anymore because their food is way better than this place and the night shift is horrible all of the workers were on their phones while making orders and they don’t even change their gloves while they are touching their hair and phones as well there was one young lad who worked there that used the restroom her name is Katie she had taken my order and she didn’t even wash her hands and I seen her making custard and they were also smoking illegal substances while there where children in the lobby as well as smoking their vapes in the kitchen this place needs to hire new people because I will never eat here ever again and I will be letting all my friends and family know to not eat this place because when I first ordered here when they first open they were amazing but now it’s like the managers don’t care as well as the people who are head of the company these people need to do they’re job correctly before just...
