Poor customer service. Do not order online for pickup through their clover system. They acknowledge it has operating issues and are unconcerned with making it right when it negatively impacts their customers. I ordered online, $10 exited my bank account and I received no products services or even an apology, they just shrug it off like I’m lying. After waiting a week to meet with the owner, and showing her the CLEARED charge on my bank account, she said she couldn’t help me because it wasn’t showing on her side on that “$10 would mess up her balance sheet”. Wow. The bagels are great but honestly nothing is worth this amount of hassle. Update: After reading the response I absolutely stand by everything I wrote in the original review. You only offered to make my meal AFTER I was leaving on the second or third time I had addressed this issue (I would’ve loved this in the first two weeks, but at this point after being talked to like I was lying I lost my appetite) trying again to deflect blame and not take ownership. I did not use a credit card, clearly you were not even listening. I used a debit card and $10 is a lot to me as well. And sure I could dispute with my bank, but it wasn’t their fault. You have taken no ownership and keep trying to pass the buck, myself, the bank, have nothing to do with your poorly functioning operating systems. I have multiple children as well and limited budget, but I don’t use that as an excuse to Treat people poorly. I asked for the sandwich multiple times but was denied because you could not find my order. My Facebook was hacked and I am not sure what kind of message you sent me through there . But it has honestly gone beyond making it right now. Ailey based on the principal that you won’t take ownership and keep trying to blame other people. That would’ve been a great option before you guys made me feel like this was my fault. If you don’t like the review, maybe you should reevaluate how you handle issues such as this...

With this review, I uploaded the sign they have posted inside the store on the soda machine. It's worth noticing that it's not a hand-written sign posted by a frustrated employee. It's a really nice metal sign posted by management. Havings read that sign, here's my story:

The bagels here are the best in Tuscaloosa, no questions asked. The chain bread company bagels are not as good; the chain donut shop bagels are not as good. So compared to those choices, these are the best bagels in Ttown. I have had past experiences there where I walked in to order order bagels, and it took 15 minutes to get 6 uncut bagels into a sack after I paid for them, so this morning I ordered ahead, online, and gave them 4 hours to put 6 bagels, uncut, in a sack. I even arrived 15 minutes late to make sure I wasn't rushing them. When I got there, they could not find my online order. I had to show them my order confirmation on my phone. They were unaware of it. When they found it in their system and the proof that I had already paid, it still took 15 minutes to get 6 uncut bagel put in a paper sack.

Fair is fair: these are the best bagels in Tuscaloosa. They are not a fast food restaurant. You have to decide for yourself if it is...

UPDATE 05/17/25 Saturday just after 1pm - Plain bagel, egg and cheese ($7.00), lettuce ($0.25), tomato ($0.25), avocado ($1.25), latte ($5.00) w/ hazelnut ($0.50) and almond milk ($0.75) = $16.50. Staff was friendly. They get FOUR stars. Management could work on a few things (ex: no change for cash customers, close trash bin box, use tooth picks for big sandwiches). The quality of the food is fine. More of my cheese was on the wrapper than my sandwich. I sat inside and was the only customer. There were a few to-go orders and staff was courteous and friendly to all. I like that the staff HANDS you your food and thanks you. That level of courtesy is waning in current restaurant culture. 10/08/23- Bacon, egg, & cheese w/lettuce, tomato, mustard on a plain bagel. That was tasty with crisp bacon. 4 stars. Mimosa was tart, sour. 2 stars. The coffee was basic, not tasty. 2 stars. 09/06/23‐ Slow for a breakfast place. It was clean inside, but there was no one taking orders while three people were waiting for their orders. The last person in line had been there at least 5 mins by her account. I'll have to...
