This is probably the nicest looking goodwill that I have ever been to. Very clean and modern looking. Only reason I am not giving it a perfect score is because the sizes for the clothes were all mixed up and I didn't really know what I was looking at. The Ladies clothes overwhelmed the men's section and I wasn't even able to find the children's clothes, I think that they were mixed up with the rest of the clothes... I ended up finding a pair of shorts that were labeled 499 but the tag fell off and I was charged 799 for them. Im not trying to complain because it's not a huge deal but if I could offer any criticism I would say organize and label your clothes in sections based on the type of article it is and have one side be small and the other side 5X or something like the goodwill in Oceanside, California off of Plaza. That's by far the most organized one I can think of and the Cute blonde that works there is responsible for it! Really wish I knew ur name right now but anyway back to the review. OC Goodwill Boutique your store is pretty rad! I really enjoyed it. The items there were all super good quality and name brands and a good selection of shoes and toys and knick knacks. I was impressed with the window displays that made it look like a high end fashion store and the decorations and choice for the shelving units. Literally the only thing that bugged me was the lack of organization that the clothes were in! I found myself accidentally trying to put things where they would be better found and not hidden behind a size 52 pair of Joes Jeans! Okay I hope someone reads this and gets a kick out of it and laughs at my dorky sense of humor or that I make that one associate's Year so they can say, "I...
Read moreAs a regular customer and supporter of secondhand shopping, it’s disappointing to see the recent decline in this thrift store's overall experience since the new management change.
Prices have increased significantly yet the value hasn’t improved. This store was known to have quality items come out daily and at a good value. Now the prices are competing with target, TJ maxx, and wallmart. The quality of inventory is the same as regular surroundings thrift stores and no longer “boutique” worthy items. This makes coming to this location less desirable as the quality is not worth the inflated “boutique” prices. In addition, they are now writing in permanent marker on shoes and handbags. Please stop this immediately “no tag, no sale” so this practice is no longer needed. It’s also demeaning to customers having to wear shoes with pricing that doesn’t come off.
Since the new management took over - the environment feels less welcoming and the staff no longer seem happy - in fact many of the employees appear visibly unhappy or under pressure. They are constantly cleaning, re arranging the store which is not allowing them to bring out new inventory and help customers they way they used to. The new manager is affecting the overall atmosphere of the store in a noticeable negative way. She is not welcoming nor approachable to customers.
I genuinely hope these concerns are addressed. This store has the potential to be a great community resource again, but it needs more attention to pricing, inventory flow, and...
