Panda Express — Restaurant in Twentymile

Had an unfortunate experience here with Bill and hope the store manager addresses it…

Came in today for lunch and had Rita take my order. She was wonderfully friendly and engaging and commented on my sweatshirt from West Point. As she filled my order, she referenced a relative who attended there. They were in the midst of a lunch rush so when she asked “cash or charge?” she must not have heard me say cash. She realized her mistake when I handed her a twenty and called “Bill” over to help.

Bill was instantly exasperated with her and berated her about paying attention, etc. As she went to help the next customer, I spoke up and told Bill that she asked but it’s loud and these days most people charge so she probably didn’t process what I’d said. As he zeroed out my order on the register he carried on about how it’s hard to find good help and “there’s too many lazy people here, it’s worse every week and they won’t schedule the ones that want to work.” As a retired military officer, I was stunned at the lack of professionalism…until it got worse.

When he was ready, I handed him my 20-dollar bill. As hr counted out my $7 in change, he huffed “everybody gives me twenties, I’m running out of cash.” I said “I’m sorry, I can give you something smaller,” to which he said “it’s alright, I just need to go to the safe…every five minutes.”

I couldn’t believe the rudeness and was “this close” to making a scene but thought better of it. Being a grumpy old man is one thing, but being a horrible teammate and rude to customers is unacceptable. Hopefully...

This brand-new Panda Express opened its doors at 10 a.m. this morning; and I was lucky enough to be there right when they did. From the moment I walked in, the experience was fantastic. The staff was warm, attentive, and clearly excited to welcome guests.

Avarie greeted me at the door with a smile that set the tone, and Rita, the store manager, went above and beyond with her recommendations for our family meal. Her suggestions were spot on and made the visit feel personalized rather than routine.

Panda Express corporate should know: this team nailed it. The food was fresh, the service was excellent, and the people running this location made the whole experience stand out. Definitely a spot I’ll be returning...

So far we have been very impressed with the new Panda Express that we have here at Beach Walk. The vegetables are fresh and crispy and the food has good flavor. As a vegan, I've been getting the chow mein and the super greens. The veggie spring rolls are on my list to try next. My family has been getting all different kinds of food and they have not complained about anything so far. We were a little worried when they showed up that we were going to get low flavor and soggy vegetables like some of the other Panda Express that we have been to but this one has not disappointed.
