I'm going to share my thoughts from both a customer perspective, and a former employee perspective. Because a lot of things that happen at this restaurant don't happen within the eye of the public and they should be brought to light. Unfortunately, since I left, it appears to me as though things have only gotten worse. So let's get started, shall we?
From a customer perspective, one could be easily dismissive of a lot of the problems as from a customer's view, they aren't as bad as some other restaurants I've been too. The lobby occasionally gets left dirty, unstocked, and more importantly it seems as though, still to this day the soda fountains rarely actually get cleaned, and never thouroughly. If you've got a good eye, somedays you'll be able to spot a manager or two not wearing gloves when they make your food. Management are supposed to make a statement and set an example, and the more important managers just don't do that at all, and it is for lack of trying. The fries, crisscuts, and sometimes just everything else are almost always old and soggy, and it seems as though no matter how many times people complain about it, the problem never gets fixed. I will get into wait times, and missing items in orders in a second, as those things pertain to much bigger problems on the other half of this review. All of it does. But this is my customer review.
As far as an employee and former management perspective, this place is arguably one of the worst places to work. First and foremost, since day one, its seemed as though the higher management picks shift lead promotions without a single thought put into it, which in some cases is excusable. However, because of how much higher management values their precious labor spending, they can never be bothered to actually properly train the people they just promoted at what always seemed like completely random. Which brings me to their biggest problems. First, and the biggest foremost problem; this particular restaurant in almost every single presentable case just outright ignores hold times, meaning that your food has a high chance of being anywhere between 30-60 minutes old by the time you actually get it, which elaborates further on why your fries are very commonly soggy and old. With that being said, avoid anything with eggs in particular, as they only make them in the morning and then put them in an open top fridge. That open top fridge stays open more than I am proud enough to admit, and a lot of times they can't even be bothered to cover the eggs. So if you get a breakfast burger towards the end of the night, you're running the risk of getting really sick. With that being said, the best time to visit this restaurant is during their rushes, which comes with it's own problems. Remember those labor costs I mentioned? Yeah, this places higher management values it so much that they are willing to schedule the absolute most bare minimum amount of people possible for any given moment throughout the day except their lunch rushes. So when you go in at 7-10pm during their dinner rush? You can expect to be waiting quite some time for your food because there's only ever 3-4 employees, including a manager, on shift. Then of course when higher management complains about their drive-thru times and lobby times, of course they'll never stop to think that maybe they're working their employees like slaves. But because there's always so little people working, and most of them are heavily undertrained, this restaurant is run very poorly a large percentage of the time.
I gave it two stars because when everything is somehow miraculously working the way it's supposed to, this restaurant performs very well. But because higher management refuses to see the flaws in how they are running the store, and treating their employees, I'm afraid this restaurant will never be better than the 2/5 score I've given it. There are some really fantastic people working here, and should you come to Carl's Jr. It's just unfortunate to see something like that always be...
Read moreI eat at Carl’s Jr. once a month and I absolutely love it. It is so good. The onions are fresh the patties fresh everything taste really good. The only downside of this is it’s the Carl’s Jr. in Ontario Oregon. The Twin Falls Carl’s Jr. has probably been the worst Carl’s Jr. I’ve ever been to in my life and I lived in Spokane for 20 years where we had multiple Carl’s Jr.‘s. I’ve never had a chicken sandwich so dry in my life that I had to just throw away my money. And if I ever get a bun that is hard as a rock again I’m just gonna toss it through your window. The only reason for three stars is because I do you like the company but I do not like the Twin Falls store. It makes me sad that a lot of things in Twin Falls don’t do good we could still have a Popeyes chicken right now and a...
Read morePulled into drive thru lane 1, there is one person at the pick up window, nobody ordering in the drive thru. "Hey, I'll be with you in just a moment"... probably 30 seconds go by and a car pulls in to lane 2. Different voice: "hey what can we get started for ya?" Another 30 seconds or so goes by, so I ask "can I place my order yet?" The reply: "sorry I just need a couple more minutes." About a minute goes by, she hops on and quickly takes my order of chicken tenders. I wait for the person in front of me to receive their food which takes a couple more minutes. I get to the window and am told "sorry we don't have chicken tenders is there anything else I can do for you?" Nope LOL Last time I went, I received 3 chicken strips with 2 of them ripped in half to make 5. Not much reason to...
