I've always driven past this place going to and from downtown Twin Falls. Initially, I got excited, because the name — O'Dunken's — screams Irish pub, so visions of Irish stew, colcannon, and brown bread danced in my head.

Nope.

Maybe for a seasonal special on St. Patrick's Day, or a random January, long after the holiday cheer has died down.

What they do have are the (American) pub basics: sandwiches, build-your-own pizza, taco salad, and a smoked ale sausage.

My husband and I tried the sandwiches (half or whole): a pastrami — without the jalapenos and stuff — and a Muffaletta, which I'd always been curious about (but passed over in favor of a po boy). Our sandwiches come with a choice of side, and we went with potato salad.

The food was decent, if unexceptional. I gather the place is more popular (it's been around for a long time) for its drinks. The pastrami came in thick strips and on a crispy mini-baguette. The Muffaletta had all the right components, the deli meats and a little giardiniera (pickled veggies) taking the place of oil and vinegar.

My Muffaletta was okay, I could've used a little more of everything. The focaccia (shouldn't it be a traditional, sesame-crusted round bread?) was toasted a little too much.

The smiley-face made of olives and red onion on the potato salad was a nice touch. Thank god they didn't...

HORRIBLE customer service. Only one cook and one waitress on a summer Thursday night. We had to wait 2 hours for our food, which was cold, and weren't even checked for refills but once and not communicated with at all about why our food took 2 hours. Then the waitress, not only once, but two times mocked people from our table. The second time she did it, another table that was sitting there saw and chuckled and she laughed right with them. Mind you-- she had been catering to this ONE table once they walked in (after us) which from my view looked like she was more worried about being with her friends than receiving any tips for the night. When we checked out, it was written why she didn't receive a tip and she proceeded to immediately follow us out of the building, confront us in front of all of her customers she did have left (not nicely either) and then argued with us about our experience. Overall, I will never return to this...

Wow is about all i can say. I went in last night to re live another fond night at one of my most stop in places on main. However this was not only a waste of our money but also our time. I have never spent so much on a plain quesadilla that was upcharged to a 5 dollar more quesadilla and when asked she said sorry didnt know how to enter a plain one, mond tou she wasnt new. and we shared a 7 dollar beer warm beer for 21.10 Id not recomend anyone that has issues with disappointment to spend your time here and please no karens youd destroy their self esteem because youd be justified for once. AND LET ME BE CLEAR IM NOT ONE TO POST NEGATIVE REVIEWS BUT WOOOOOW HOWEVER ON A POSITIVE NOTE THE BEER CHEEESE WAS ALRIGHT. Fyi they lost their 20 year manager chef and lets not forget bartender. could only...

So this is my second time here. I love the old signage and antiques that are all around the place. Visually stimulating while having a good cold beer! The last time I was there I ordered a Liver wurst Sammich. It was excellent! This time I came to try the Reuben. It was good but I have to say slicing the Sammich from corner to corner is not a good way to present this or eat it. The side of potato salad was really good and it was smiling back at me lol. Cold beer and good service good pub fare, I'll be back to try the rest of the menu.

This used to be a great place to hang out and eat. Now, the staff is rude and they massively overcharge. They charged me for a chicken quesadilla when I ordered a cheese. I just asked to take the chicken home to my dog if I was being charged for it. This is why they charged an extra 4 dollars for chicken. This has to be a joke. It’s not even a full bite. No wonder half the customers were saying they were never coming back. I don’t think I will either. It’s not worth it anymore. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
