Good food, good experience @Humotyler . The customer service and ambience were great. Quality spot to enjoy food inside or on the patio. The food .. Brisket Nachos 5/5 šŸ”„ Tender, loaded with flavor, some of the best I've tasted Four Tacos (Birria, Al Pastor, Asada, Chicken Milanesa) 4/5 āœ… Honestly I've have better Birria tacos elsewhere but they were ok. The other 3 tacos were very good. Strawberry Shortcake 5/5 šŸ”„ Great tasting, soft cake dessert. Whatever they put in the middle of the cake was excellent I'll return to try their highly recommend seafood dishes. This place is worth the visit. Make sure to add it to your list. #fyp #foodietiktok #foodietok #tylertx #strawberryshortcake

I’m not sure why I’ve waited so long to eat at Humo. I tried their food once before. It was shortly after they opened and I honestly enjoyed it then. For some reason, I haven’t been back until now. The ambiance when you walk in is perfect. The entire vibe just makes you feel like you’re in an upscale restaurant, but with a more relaxed atmosphere. For appetizers, we ordered the peruvian ceviche and the tuetano (bone marrow). I’ve never had peruvian ceviche, but I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try it. I was pleasantly shocked. Same case with the bone marrow. I’ve only seen others eat it before lol. I really liked it, especially when it was paired with all the others flavors. They also bring out chips and salsa. The salsa itself was a bit spicy, but it was so good that I persevered. For my main entree, I ordered the chimichurri lamb chops. They were resting atop some perfectly cooked fingerling potatoes. It also came with a fresh arugula salad with a lime vinaigrette, which I demolished. Although the lamb chops were a bit on the smaller side, they made up for it in flavor, especially with the chimichurrišŸ˜ The service was a bit on the slower side, but our waitress did tell us they were a bit understaffed. I think she still did an exceptional job. If you’re looking for some great food in a chill setting, then head over to Humo.

First, the good. We spent our 21st wedding anniversary at Humo's. Second, our experience. Service started off rather slow, and the waitress apologized for the wait stating they weren't sure who was supposed to wait on our table. So we started off with the chips and salsa and guacamole. The salsa was really good. Then I ordered the Carne Asada, and my wife ordered two tostados, one with pork and one with brisket. My wife said that her tostados were pretty good. But the Carne Asada is probably the worst I've ever had. When the meal came out, all I saw was shaved ribeye in place of Carne Asada. So I got the menu back, and looked in a little more detail (which I guess I should have done before I ordered). Sure enough, the description said thinly sliced ribeye. There was no topping, no cheese, no nothing that you usually get with a true Carne Asada. The taste was good though so I can't fault that. Service was not the best. This was our first, and probably last time visiting Humo's.

I usually don't leave reviews. However, I was so disappointed with my family experience tonight. I chose to take them here based on my initial brunch experience two weeks ago. I made reservations so once there we were seated. It was only three of us. It took 10min b4 chips & salsa and another 10min b4 server came over to get drink orders. Once we had our drinks we ordered and was very specific. Brisket nachos with beans on the side and spice sauce on the side. 2 brisket & 2 chicken tacos, rice & beans and order of grilled shrimp & rice with a sweet tea no guacamole. It took over 40 min to get our food. During this time the server never came to check on us for chip refill or drinks. He also never gave an update on our order. Even the table next to us had to get his attention for chip refill. After waiting over 40min for our food it comes out wrong. Nachos have beans on them with a side of beans, tacos had no rice or beans and guacamole. When it was brought to our waiters attention, his response was, " What you want me to do". Really???? I asked for a manager and was told none was there, that they left earlier. Totally unacceptable!

Follow Up: While checking my account today, I noticed the server had given himself a $5 tip after I specifically left no tip due to bad service. We usually give generous tips above the 20%. However, he did not earn it and to find out he fraudalently took money was very upsetting. I became furious and reached by phone and spoke to the manager on duty Mr. William. He was very nice and understanding. I felt he genuinely cared and wanted to make things right. The fact he took time to listen and provided a solution, I will at some point return. I sent him all the necessary information and pictures. I truly hope the server is coached regarding his behavior. You can not give yourself a tip that has not been authorized. This is fraudalent and can lead to...
