Atmosphere...it is a sandwich shop with little personality. Food...a decent, made to order sandwich. Service...this particular store used to have EXCEPTIONAL, professional and friendly service. The manager that was there before was fantastic. Now, it has really slid. Uncaring, non friendly, non smiling workers behind the counter that give the impression of hating their job, hating they have to make your sandwich and that they JUST don't want to be bothered waiting on you. Sad. We used to go weekly...now, every few months because of the lack of good service. Visited 1/7/2023 Update from most recent visit on 7/24/2024: Decent sandwich, but what a nasty and unfriendly 3 people on the line. The young girl making the sandwich, the young lady dressing and bagging it and the young man ringing up my order. No greeting, no please, no thank you. “What can I get you, what bread, Mikes way? And that was it. The only time they actually spoke. No thank you when I was handed my sandwich and no thanks after paying. We went here EVERY week since they opened in the beginning. As you can see, more than 18 months since my last visit because of the bad service. Again, after going for years every single week and averaging $22.00 spent. That’s $1700 lost by 1 guest. They don’t care. But I care to tell the truth. Find another place to eat. There are too many to choose from. The owner of this location obviously does not care about its guests. Or they pretend to care by leaving gratuitous and placating responses. But I didn’t get ANY response because they realize that I see right through them. I almost feel sorry for the owners because this is what they are up against, young people are the only ones who will work for what they are paying. And they could not care less. This generation feels entitled to everything. Getting paid for doing nothing. Showing up for work, not showing up for work, coming on time, coming late, it doesn’t matter to them. And the owners are held by the short ones. So as rude as they are they don’t care because the owner has to use them or they will have nobody working for them. This is a reality, as sad as it is. Update Visit October 14, 2024 Major shift in service. Very busy lunch at 12:15 and great, friendly service. Especially the gentleman making the sandwiches. He was extremely busy and was banging out sandwiches like a champ. Staff was very engaged and friendly. I’m...
Read moreI have lived very near the Beckham store for a few years. I am not a regular, but in a pinch Beckham Jersey Mike’s has come through ok. I’ve noticed in the last year quality of food has declined a little, but my experience today was ridiculous. Two stars is generous.
It began with the website for my location showing not allowing me to order the grilled mushroom and Swiss. I called to see if it is still available here, it is. I ended up ordering over the phone. Not a big deal.
When I paid for my order the young lady at the register repeated back to me my order (the guy who took my order over the phone failed to do this) I paid and went home to find my order missing items. I returned for the missing items and was told I’d be charged $1.25 for one of them. Nah, I already had to drive back and people were waiting for their food at home. I return home to find that the chipotle turkey that was order was ham. Gross. When I placed the order I requested extra cheese for both, one sandwich had no cheese. The chipotle “turkey” had no chipotle Mayo. Keep in mind my ticket had the correct items listed. The mushroom Swiss was overloaded with onions, was mostly onions.
I suppose I could call the store AGAIN and request a correction, but I don’t have time to drive back and I don’t care to deal with chaos behind the counter. The place wasn’t exactly busy, maybe the crew is new? I hope the person in charge shows the prep people the difference between ham and turkey. Get it...
Read moreWe've gone to the Jersey Mike's on Beckham three times in the last two weeks, because we love the roast beef sandwiches. We went for dinner last night, April 7th, and the ladies who worked were very salty. I tried to be loud and clear when ordering, because I have a mousy voice and often I am asked to repeat myself. I explained that to the first girl, so she wouldn't think I was trying to be rude. I ordered 5 sandwiches. My order was over $65 & I still left a 20% tip, because I appreciate those who provide a service for us. I cannot understand why the two girls and the man were so unfriendly with me to the point I kept apologizing because they made me feel as though ordering for my famimy was annoying to them, or like they hate their job! Needless to say, I will only go to the other location from now on. A smile, and patience for a mom trying to order 5 different sandwiches for their family, shouldn't be to much to ask. Especially when you are spending as much at a sandwich shop, as you would for a sit down dinner. Do...
