I have been a frequent customer of Mama's Restaurant for several years, but today I have decided to not come to the Fifth Street location again. The food was good, as it always is, but the service and condition of the restaurant are rapidly declining. The waitress we had was wearing her mask down around her chin, fully exposing her mouth and nose. We had this same waitress last time we ate there and asked her at that time to please wear her mask properly, but she refused. She said her customers could not understand what she was saying when she covered up her mouth. Today same waitress still wearing mask only on chin. We made no comment this time, just wore our masks until food arrived. Then the waitress checked on us a couple of times, but did not notice when I ran out of drink and sat my glass on outer edge of table. We finally got her attention and asked for a refill to go. She did not bring the drink. Instead she sat down at a nearby table and took a supper break. While I was waiting for my drink I went to the restroom, which I knew was going to be a bad experience since the restrooms are so tiny and the handicap toilet is so low it is like squatting to sit on it. But I knew this from previous visits. What I did not expect was all the roaches. They were on the door of the restroom and on the floor of the hallway going through the serving area and down the hall to the restrooms. The waitresses were nice and the atmosphere was friendly and there were lots of menu options. We have gone three other times between then and before yesterday no major problems except staff shortages and lacking attention from staff at tables.
We purchased beans and biscuits (came burnt) and hash browns (sopping wet with oil) as a to-go order. The meal was consumed within ten minutes of pickup this was around 9am.
I contacted the restaurant FOUR times. The first time the girl answered by saying "give us a few minutes." I was on the phone for five and she placed me on hold then hung up.
Second time I called she took the phone off the hook I can hear her speaking to other customers she then hangs up on me. Third fourth and fifth times it was sending me to voicemail.
Completely unacceptable customer service. I emailed the email on Facebook to let them know about my experience who I assume is the owner of the place and I received no response. I called the restaurant to speak to the manager and was told I would get a call back from the same employee aforementioned...

I arrived to this location around 11AM on 12/12/2017 while the restaurant had 0 to no customers, and they still managed to take 30 minutes to find a table for me. After being seated I ordered chicken fajitas and waited patiently for my meal to arrive, after my other friends got all of their food our server told us to enjoy our food and walked away to converse with her co-workers after she only put my tortillas on the table without the chicken. I waved to get her attention and she continued to converse with the coworkers and came back when my friends were almost finished with their food and asked us how we were splitting the tab. After I stressed to her that I never got the chicken meat for my fajitas and that I had been trying to get her attention the entire time, she said she would get right on it, but by the time it was ready my friends were already done with their meals and were ready to go. Without even getting an apology for her incompetence, I just paid and left. So to conclude my statement, you would receive better service from a grizzly bear than the servers who are hired here.
