LA GRAN VIA. A CUBAN CUSINE THAT IS ALL TASTY AND "SALUDABLE". Our meal started with warm bread and butter, then I ordered the Surf and Turf which consisted of large shrimps and skirt steak which is called in Spanish Churasco, medium well is how I like it. On the side came an order of tasty yellow rice with red beans and a choice of sweet plantains. My partner had the red snapper with rice and shrimp mixed in. The meal was great, and I spent about $88 and an added gratuity, Oh by the way, at the end of the meal I had a Cafè con Lechè, it was strong and had a great coffee taste to it. So if you would like some great Cuban food and you find yourself on Bergenline Ave in Union City, N.J. Then check out the Gran Via.

The croquetta look like it came from out of a box and the Tamil was about the size of my palm My son had ropa vieja My other son had oxtail and I had some rice with called maravilla that supposed to have chorizo and shrimp with peas it did have shrimp and it was good not the best but the truth he was like they put it through a grinder because it just had slivers and I mean slivers ,I won't be going there again

I’ve been ordering from here for the past 6 years and they have NEVER EVER let me down!!! They are AL AYS on point, consistent, and have the best customer service around. They speak Spanish but also speak very good English. They always get my order right and I do not speak Spanish. But tonight?? Tonight was exceptional!! The pernil was crispy, tender, and juicy with delicious seasoning. The yuka was PERFECT I love the green lime sauce. I don’t know what its proper name is so I call it the green lime sauce, whatever it’s called, it’s delicious. Nice and soft but crispy and chewy caramelized edges. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a amazing meal at a super excellent price. ...

I've been coming here since I was in my mother's Belly. So officially for 36 years. Jose the owner and the employees are amazing. The food is priced perfectly and tastes amazing. My daughters have been coming here also since before they were born. Thank you all for the best service and food. This is family to my family. La Gran Via is the best restaurant in Union City , I promise! The adult beverages are also priced and made right. You can't go wrong, thank me later!
