A great Quincenera Party at The Boulevard Labor Day weekend! After an exhaustive search for a ballroom for my daughter’s Quincenera, we found The Boulevard. Even tho the reviews were mixed, we decided to check it out. In April, we met with Edwin he mentioned that he took a leave from the place but he recently returned to manage again. The main ball room was too large, Edwin offered us the smaller venue, The Hudson Room. It was still under renovation. My daughter liked the LED lighting and ambiance. The dance floor is in great shape. There is plenty of parking which is a plus. He provided us with a few references to choose from for decorators and a DJ and all our party needs. He offered us a food tasting a few weeks before our party. The chef Victor knocked it out the park. My family loved the ribs, the seafood, the roast pork and the chicken. It’s too bad we didn’t bring a doggy bag :) The day of the party the ready room was almost complete, the bathroom still needed some work but was still functional. They have a full sized mirror but it’s located right next to the entrance door, an inconvenient place. If it’s moved it would work out much better. We were offered a screen projector, it’s huge but it worked. However, if you’re having a party, my suggestion would be to rent smaller TV monitors to play videos and display pictures. The food was just as good as the day of the tasting; our guest raved and was impressed with the food.We had two family members that are experienced chefs and were both impressed with the food. We had offered our guest a limited bar of beer and wine, however, higher end spirits were available for purchase, which was a nice option for those that wanted a cocktail. As in any party it’s important to be there early and make sure things run smoothly. There are a lot of moving parts with vendors, staff etc… There were a few unexpected hiccups, a vendor running late, a mix up in the decorations, but everything was able to be resolved, just in time for the party! Edwin was there are running two parties simultaneously, Our party at the Boulevard was a total success thanks to Edwin, Silvia and the staff. Without a doubt, Silvia helped us coordinate and made sure things ran smoothly. She definitely is very professional. If you are looking for a venue that’s reasonably priced, offers great food and ample party space, then definitely check out The Boulevard as a venue for your Party or Event. Edwin is a gentleman and will help you plan a personalized party that’s right for you. Make sure you ask for Silvia to be your event coordinator to make sure your party runs smoothly.

If you want an extremely intimate and responsive experience planning your event, I honestly think nothing compares to The Boulevard. I worked 99% with Louisa on this event and I know it was primarily such a success because she went above and beyond to help us out with each step of the way. From start to finish, they were extremely patient, informative and work with you on pricing, the small details and making sure every possible part of the night can be figured out ahead of time. Hence, there's as minimal stress as possible with events of this size (we had a college formal for 150 people). They are very generous with food, drinks and adding extra touches that we hadn't even expected or asked for in the contract. I was blown away with how everything was ready weeks ahead of time and Louisa asked for my permission before making a change of any size. She also texted me several days before the event was planned to showcase how beautiful the venue was prepped (attached photos of how great the tables and dance floor looked), and also provided diagrams and seating information so we had an idea of the space when it was filled up. I didn't have to ask for them to dim the lights when the dance floor got packed, didn't have to ask what times we're distributing food and drinks, and didn't have to run around to get my questions answered or any concerns addressed. For the size of the venue, the service provided, and overall experience (they charge a slightly higher service charge because they know they are the best when it comes to servicing the client just fyi), the fee is a joke compared to how much help, insight and decorations you get for your buck. It's newly renovated, and a different area then people expect for venues of this size, which is why I feel a lot of people haven't realized it is an option since it's so new and under different management. But I wouldn't let it faze you for a second because this is bar none the best event you can have for the price and help given. I was told by several people that this is the best dance they've attended and I am confident I'll be back for any future events I coordinate. Truly a hidden gem of Hudson Country and if you get Louisa, get ready for the easiest event planning you'll ever experience!

I recently attended a comedy show at The Boulevard, to see Piter Albeiro, and while his performance was absolutely amazing—over two hours of nonstop laughter without an opener, totally worth the ticket price—the venue itself was a letdown. I purchased a VIP ticket expecting a more comfortable experience, but the metal chairs were extremely uncomfortable, especially for such a long show. The parking situation was also chaotic, with no prior notice that it was cash only, which caused delays and added stress trying to come up with $20 at the last minute. While there were food and drinks available, the lines were so long that I decided to skip them altogether. Piter Albeiro was incredible, but The Boulevard has a lot of room for improvement when it comes to accommodating guests.

The Boulevard First and foremost I'm not the type to write reviews but In this case it was necessary. When I first looked at this place for a potential wedding venue I thought it was renovated nicely and very spacious. When my husband and I decided to make a deposit we signed a contract with some guy named Edwin. Everything seemed to be going well until he was no longer working with the company. I was not aware of this until I called a few months later to arrange a payment. I find out there was new management. I was a little annoyed that no one sent an email in regards to this change/issue to let me know I would be working with someone else. Now this is where it gets interesting. I get a call from this woman named Melissa who is the event planner for the establishment with no experience in weddings what so ever and tells me she will be working with me, I said ok no problem let's set up an appointment to meet to go over everything and make a payment she agreed. The day comes and I send her a message at 10am to confirm our 12pm appointment and I get no response until 3pm saying that she couldn't make the appointment happen. I'm already upset because that is unprofessional and unacceptable. So we rescheduled. The day comes where we finally meet and she does not have anything prepared. My contract is not on her desk she was annoyed, had an attitude. She looked like she hated her job. I told her my concerns and all and she said she would take care of it. The months leading up to the wedding we're a disaster. She didn't know how to coordinate or arrange anything. She was the rudest person in that establishment. My husband and I paid $15,000 and she gave us a hard time right up to the day of the wedding. The food was absolutely awful, disgusting, not fresh but frozen. The crab cakes taste fishy and salty. The pigs on a blanket were frozen from a bag. The drinks were good but served in plastic cups. The service besides the bartenders and Sonia were awful. They did not know anything of what was going on. I had multiple of our guests asks the service staff some questions and they were oblivious and said they didn't know. Overall this was the worst venue. I will never do an event there again. for my wedding and honestly if it was not for SONIA who was the best person ever I would have had a nervous breakdown. I'm sad, dissatisfied, disappointed, that they would have a person with no experience handle a wedding and get paid for it at that. Please follow your gut and if you see red flags act on them. I don't recommend this...

Event, was not the BLVD but their HUDSON room. Not as done up as their grand ballroom but space was enough for what we needed.

Wait Staff worked well with what they had. Lack of communication by the management had dinner arrive later than expected which caused dinner to be later.

The lead Host was awesome!! She understood what we needed and wanted and my dedication to making this event a dream come true for my cousin.

NOW... The management team, if they want to even be called that. Their poor professionalism, lack of communication, lack of understanding, The way they reneged on something already booked and agreed upon. Change of management should not change a contract of items promised. Their less than gracious attitudes about stuff they clearly know nothing about was astonishing. They didn't bother to consider that they were not dealing with just another DJ, but someone who has taken time learn the craft, learn what it is to run an event and learned what can and cant be done in the interest of guest safety. Just because you own the place doesn't mean you know how to RUN the place. It was frustrating, dealing with the management team. This team clearly did not communicate with each other, because since I was getting so much push back, I decided to keep all communication in writing, and at the end of the night I was glad I did. Because the manager who arrived to the venue clearly had no idea what was going on and came at me with all this arrogance trying to school me on my equipment just to be put in his place by me having written permission by his higher up. Just because you don't do your homework, don't think I don't. This event was a labor of love, and not about money because this was my gift to my cousin as it was her birthday. If this were a client, this place would have caused a great disservice to their client. Their refusal to work us, was a clear indication that these people do not care about the client. We were willing to go out of our way to show them live and take full liability if something were to happen prior to the event. But they could not be bothered. An opportunity to step up for the client and they rather not. Bottom line Screw this venue, I wont be doing another event there. Venue was decent with great potential but management was not worth the time and effort it took to...
