China King — Restaurant in Union

USED to be our Favorite. Will NEVER eat again!!! Ordered our usual for delivery. Have been eating here as long as we lived here, 8 years. Always delicious! Though, last month I do recall their portions being very skimpy as compared to before. But still delicious. Tonight’s General Tso Chicken appeared fluffy, mushy, maybe just overly breaded with not much meat. The taste, wasn’t as good either. And, hardly any meat. My spouse couldn’t eat it, and our kids didn’t like either. They all just ate cereal instead. He called them to make sure he ordered the correct thing, or if they changed their recipe. They said no, and they would give him 20% off his next order. My Steamed Chicken with Mixed Veggies, looked ok. Though the same as last time, with it being skimpy on the veggies with not much meat either. Tasted ok, but then noticed what appeared to be egg yellow on some edges of the chicken. Maybe it could of been boulion cubes, egg yoke, food coloring, a spice, etc. I called them to find out if they changed the recipe, and find out if it was ok to eat. They told me to bring it in. (I called Delivery for a reason, I didn’t want to get out. And, was already in my pjs. So in my pjs I bought back both orders.) On my Steamed Chicken and Veggies: They said the bamboo shoots made some edges of the chicken yellow. Which is a first for me, and I truly don’t believe that was it. They were 2 different yellows. Chicken bright yellow, the shoots cream yellow. One girl said she has been their for 4 months and sees this all the time. Told I always have gotten and this is a first for me. They said they would not make me a new one, nor refund it. I told them to throw it away, because it’s never been like that before and I don’t trust it. Then opened the General Tso: one girl said it’s fine, the other girl said it’s just a lot smaller pieces of meat and other times they make it with bigger pieces. They would make a new one, because it didn’t look right. At this point I’m definitely not trusting them, especially their chicken. Told them we’d just take a refund for it. They told me no, they can’t refund me. Said, I have to come back and would get a free one another time. I told them no, I don’t believe I want to come back another time. So they refunded me $10.75 cash, for the General Tso Chicken. I told them I wanted refunded back for the delivery fee too. They said no, they couldn’t because it cost to drive. Told them I know me too. Then they said they could only give me $2. Told them no, you charged me $3 to come to my home. I deserve my $3 back to come to them, like they told me too. They finally gave me back my $3. All while a guy from the kitchen was giving me...

Ne are drove 34 miles round-trip to eat at China King and Union Missouri. We were going to eat in the restaurant got pur food in front of us which look good but the problem was there was a child laying in the booth next to us coughing his head off and sneezing and going tc the bathroom. his mother came to check on him. He was also coughing and gave him medicine. We decided not to stick around and get ourselves sick. Child has no business in this restaurant. Well other people are eating. so we spent over $50 to drive home and have cold food which we had to heat up in the microwave. Plus the restaurant could use a good cleaning. I got a small wonton soup and 4 crab rangoons and it was almost $12.00!! If it had been fantastic I wouldn't have minded paying the higher price, but the soup broth had little to no flavor, almost like the wontons had been dumped in a bowl of watery chicken stock! The wontons were good but there was nothing else in the soup...I am partial to the little "goodies" that are usually added to flavor the broth. Crab rangoons were nicely stuffed and very hot! Again paying almost $6 for 4 was ridiculous. I live in Washington so that is my normal store, however, I work in Union. With the prices and lack of flavor I will not be going to the Union...
