Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Union

Currently the only way I’ve gotten to know this establishment in the city is doing DoorDash deliveries however I’m in the restaurant industry. I’ve trained general managers for many years and I will tell you this crew. The management team knows what they’re doing and they are on the ball the restaurant is Very clean. If you pay attention to detail, you’d be able to tell that they’re always in a good mood, the retaining staff, or would it appears from the guest view I just think that this Dairy Queen is doing an excellent job and I’ve always had a pleasant experience for myself and my dog. They’re definitely sincerely happy people there and I like the way they maintain their building. It’s just all around good. I also wanted to mention that with my observation, they are consistently busy and that just goes to show there’s two factors reason why people go to restaurants. The flamethrower sandwich is the only reason it's getting 2 stars. We paid nearly 40 bucks for 2 regular meals and a kids meal. We did get the cheese curds which I know are expensive for what they are, but we wanted to get something we really liked. The regular box wasn't even half full of curds. Out of all the flamethrowers I've had, this one ranked about 6 on a scale of 1-10. The curds were a 2. Not absolutely horrendous, but not much above. I strongly doubt I'll ever eat at this location again. I might give other locations a try and if they are anywhere near as bad as here, I'll be done with DQ altogether. I went to the Union Missouri Dairy Queen on March 25th, 2024. I ordered 4 orders of pretzel sticks and a large root beer and they only gave me 1 order of pretzel sticks and the large root beer, but when I went back around the 2nd time to try to get my other 3 orders of pretzel sticks, they only gave me 2 of the 3. I went to the drive through twice and they still didn't get my order right. Both times I got to the window, 1 of the kids working was just dancing around and a couple of the other kids working was laughing and joking around. If I'm being honest here, they need to be retrained or fired. I wasn't happy, and will not be going back to the Union location again.
